We would like to introduce you to our programme at Kibbutz Misgav-Am which is
an especially designed presentation based on our personal expertise. Misgav-Am is
the northernmost kibbutz in Israel and we are surrounded on three sides by the
Lebanese border. Because of our unique location our panorama is absolutely
breathtaking: to the east we overlook the Hula Valley, Golan Heights and Mt.
Hermon, to the north and west we look directly into southern Lebanon and on a clear
day you can see the Mediterranean Sea. It is from this vantage point that you are
certain to acquire a deeper understanding of the events which have shaped our lives
here, in the Upper Galilee
.
Our guides provide an historical outline of the region including the Zionistic spirit
which became the foundation of kibbutz life. The briefing also provides an excellent
overview, past and present, of the very serious problems we have encountered with
terrorist organisations; how Misgav-Am serves as a forward army base and finally,
how the events of the Lebanese War 2006 and its aftermath have affected the
economy and the development of the northern communities
.
Amongst our clients we have the distinct pleasure of working with Taglit and the
Israel Experience, hosting a variety of youth groups from the world over.
Accordingly, we offer tours in Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, Dutch and German
and Russian.
