Command Media Kit - the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association
ommand Command The Journal of the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association MEDIA KIT Rates, Mechanicals and Publication Dates F or more than 20 years the TTPOA has provided affordable and standardized tactical training resources for police officers. Through the annual conference and competition, magazine and website, the association has created a forum for the free exchange of information, ideas and tactics, encouraging communication and mutual support among law enforcement agencies across the globe. This non-profit organization is run by an elected board, consisting of members from Texas tactical teams who volunteer their time and talents. It has grown from an obscure group of a few dozen, to a dynamic organization of over 2000 members. Command magazine has been the communication tool for the association since 1992, and is currently distributed to membership in 34 states and 7 foreign countries. Command is, for the most part, designed, edited and written by full-time police officers who are members of SWAT units in Texas, and who volunteer their time to produce the publication. The current editor is Bryan Whoolery from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team. We have accomplished some things in Texas that give us great pride, but we still have work to do. As a manufacturer or distributor we invite you to take part in our efforts to promote a lifesaving concept through training and education. Command actively seeks articles that would be of interest to our membership. We encourage manufacturers and dealers to submit articles to the magazine describing the testing and evaluation of new equipment for tactical operations, particularly when the test has been conducted by a Texas law enforcement agency. In addition, we can arrange for active duty SWAT officers to test and prepare product evaluation articles for SWAT equipment and/or products. We are aware that many of the companies offering SWAT related products and training are staffed by current and former SWAT and military special operations personnel. We will gladly accept articles submitted by those individuals for review and possible publication.
