Welcome to the official site of Fiat 500 meeting 2013! An international meeting set in an atmosphere
of the classic Italian Fiat 500 that will take place during the Whitsuntide weekend on the 18thand 19th
of May 2013.
Some 25 years ago, devotees of the classic Fiat 500 gathered for an international meeting. Surely a
legitimate reason to organise once more an international meeting of the kind! During Whitsuntide
on the 19th and 20th of May 2013, several activities will be organised with Fiat 500 eycatchers of
different years of manufacturing on the historical market square of Sittard-Geleen and other venues,
On Whit Sunday we have planned a ride at which Amici del Bar, a regional club of Vespa riders, will
also participate.
In short, a lot of Italian classics to be enjoyed! Be sure to make a note in your agenda for the
Whitsuntide weekend 2013.

Dedicated to the classic Fiat 500 we were eager to organise a festivity, but above all an interesting
happening totally devoted to this classy icon. An emblem still cherished by many adherents today,
evoking signs of recognition with others.

LATEST NEWS
For some months now we have been working hard behind the scenes to realise this grand and festive
event. Meanwhile, the program of the event has taken shape and can be seen elsewhere on this site.
During the annual event in Woudenberg of Fiat Club 500 Nederland, flyers were distributed among
the visitors and many Fiat 500 devotees from home and abroad were encouraged to visit the Fiat 500
meeting 2013 in Sittard-Geleen. In the meantime, our Fiat 500 meeting is also mentioned in the
Annual Calendar of the Fiat 500 Club Nederland (www.fiat500club.nl). On this site we will inform you
at regular intervals about the latest of our upcoming event.

Fiat 500 and Sittard-Geleen
Where else than in the Netherlands that the first Fiat owners club was founded in 1980 (Up to this
day still the biggest club outside Italy). It took the Italians another three years to follow the initiative.
The Italian club expanded rapidly and they sought contact with fellow clubs in Europe, particularly
with the one in the Netherlands.
What’s more, a 5-stage tour through Europe originated in 1987 that started of in…….the province of
Limburg Geleen! Teams from 9 different countries registered at the time.
Late in 2011, some participants of the 1987 event and other devotees felt the urge to organise a
similar happening again. The Fiat 500 meeting 2013 was born!

Coffee and Limburgse “vlaai” (delicacy of the region), followed by the festive opening of the Fiat 500
meeting 2013.

A short puzzle tour through some of the beautiful parts in the south of Limburg
Concourse d’elegance by all the participating Fiats 500 in the historical market square of the town of
Sittard

All-in barbecue buffet and gala night Italian style in the market-square of Sittard

A ride through the landscape Limburg, escorted by the local Vespa club Amici del Bar, with a
possibility to have a “peasant’s lunch” at a fine spot in the hilly countryside of Limburg.

Do you possess a classic Fiat 500 (of all makes, including Topolino, Giardiniera, Autobianchi or
Vignale, Abarth, Lombardi, Weinsberg, Moretti, Steyr-Puch, Ghia, Giannini)? If so, we would welcome
you wholeheartedly to take part in this festive event.
We offer various activities on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of May 2013.The most important
ones are two drives on Saturday and Sunday that will allow you to leisurely get acquainted with a lot
of attractions the province of Limburg has to offer you.
You may also opt for having one of the lunches that are on offer, as well as a barbecue, or a diner on
Saturday and Sunday. Please note that for the latter you have to register separately. Moreover, on
the historical market place of Sittard-Geleen a festive night Italian style will be organised on
Saturday.
You may choose to stay the night in one of the hotels that skirt the market place of Sittard. There are
two beautifully located hotels to choose from, hotel “De Limbourg” and hotel “Merici”.
If you prefer to make use of the other options where to spend the night, including hotels in the

Staying the night in Hotel “De Limbourg, or Merici” at rates from € 79, -(single room) to €
