HRO’s Seafari Escape™ Desalinator—with its
unique EfficientSea™ Energy Transfer technology—brings efficient, compact, quiet
watermaking to small and midsize sail or
power boats.
The unit’s Energy Transfer Device eliminates
the need for a high-pressure pump, reducing
the electricity consumption of the R.O. system by as much as 75%.* The R.O. process
is achieved by recovering energy from the
pressurized brine discharge and transferring
that energy to relatively low-pressurized feed

The Seafari Escape's high-performance
design is created from Super Austenetic
Stainless Steel, a very high-alloy stainless
steel with elevated Molybdenum content and

The Seafari Escape™ Modular (SEM)
Desalinator is ideal for sail and power boats
with very limited onboard power
—and even less onboard space. Boats as
small as 25 ft. (8m) are now capable of making fresh, clean water at a rate between 200
and 600 U.S. gallons (757 to 2,271 litres) per
day or 8 to 25 U.S. gallons (32 to 95 litres)
per hour. The key to the SEM is how easily it
adapts to various boat designs and installation locations. The components needed for
reverse osmosis desalination are custom
installed by placing them in any available
space onboard, such as under berths and
settees, and in closets and engine rooms.
Everything that is needed to install the SEM
system is included in one complete package.
The flexibility of this modular system provides
a quiet, efficient watermaking system that will
fit your boat perfectly.

The Seafari Escape™ Compact (SEC)
Desalinator allows for easy installation in
yachts that previously could not physically
accommodate conventional reverse osmosis systems. The SEC comes in models
capable of producing from 200 to 600 U.S.
gallons (757 to 2,271 litres) per day or 8 to
25 U.S. gallons (32 to 95 litres) per hour.
Potential new installation sites include
tight areas where height had been a problem, such as space under berths and
settees, and in closets and engine room
compartments. The newly engineered
frame allows the end user easy access to
the system’s internal components during
regularly scheduled maintenance. Now,
small and midsize power or sail boats
have a new option for providing water
onboard.

Fresh Water Flush
The HRO-FWF Fresh
Water Flush greatly
extends the life of the
R.O. membranes by
rinsing them with
fresh water after
each use. It will
remove saltwater from
the system’s internal
parts and flush the
membrane with clean,
fresh water. This
prevents saltwater
corrosion of the internal parts and reduces
biological fouling of the R.O. membrane. And
when the system is not being used, a unique
timing feature allows it to automatically flush
itself once every seven days.

Horizon Coral Sea™ Modular
The Horizon Coral Sea models have been
re-designed for higher watermaking capacities with quieter, more efficient operation.
This state-of-the-art system includes features
that are ideal for mega-yachts, commercial
fishing vessels, work boats, oil rigs, and
charter boats, and for onshore facilities, such
as villas, small hotels, and private residences.
These models feature a fully automatic
controller with a user-friendly LCD touchscreen interface and a Programmable Logic
Controller (PLC) for easier operation. The
controller and its optional full remote matching screen allow for Automatic Fresh Water
Flush, Safety Warnings, Safety Shut Downs,
Fault Indication, and Fully Automatic
Operation with Manual override.
We have incorporated all stainless steel
high pressure piping, hard plumbed low
pressure piping, and chemical duty motors
into these units, and we have built in dual
overpressure protection and multiple safety
systems, as well. The Horizon Coral Sea
Systems are available in a vertical, horizontal,
or modular configuration. Our Fresh Water
Flush system is available as an option.
