2011 Silent Auction Catalog
WINE: Great selections from our Trustees
100 Jeroboam of Emilio’s Terrace 2006
Value $200
Made in a drier, earthier style than most
Oakville Cabs, this one emphasizes structure
over fruity power. It’s a sleek, elegant wine,
brimming with tannins and acids that frame
blackberry, currant, mineral and dried herb
flavors, with a touch of raisins in the finish
101 Italian Wine from the collection of
SFBGS Trustee Renata Gasperi
Value $250
3 bottles of Benvenuto de la Serna 2006 Trisagio Combined
from thirds of Petit Verdot, Tannat and Malbec.
3 bottles of Argie Andes 2009 Torrontes Wine of light gold with
hints of pink. Tastes peach, dried apricot and tangy green apple
with a long clean finish.
3 bottles of 2008 Mil Piedras Malbec , A rich, lush, and fullflavored red wine from Argentina
3 Gassiers 2009 Sables D’Azur Rose This
salmon-pink wine is a classic blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsaut, featuring fresh berry
and citrus zest aromas and flavors.
102-105 Magnums of Sophies Rows 2006
Value$100 each
The 4th vintage of Sophie’s Rows is an elegant
Bordeaux style blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit
Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. Like Emilio’s Terrace, Sophie’s
Rows is 100% estate grown and 100% organically grown at our
Oakville vineyard. Our 2006 vintage is deep in color with a firm
and supple structure. The wine is rich in tannins that are tightly
integrated with the fruit, and possessing typical Schlein Vineyard characteristics of concentrated and focused multi-layers of
blackberries, blueberries and cassis
flavors intertwined with violet,
espresso and chocolate aromas; all
of which combine to create a long
lingering layered finish. As in all
Schlein Vineyard wines, this latest
vintage of Sophie’s Rows is artfully
well balanced, with just the right
amount of acidity to compliment
food as well as to gracefully age
over the years.

From Trustee Kevin Leong: a Case of 2008 Petite Sirah
from R&B Cellars “Pizzicato
Petite” Value $350
Dark, powerfully flavored, and
intense. An explosion of flavors with
hints of blueberry, black currant, and
dark plum tones that match beautifully with the French oak notes of
chocolate and exotic spice. As the
