This year, our Airstream took us to the Florida
Panhandle, then on to Orlando, Miami, and the Florida
Keys. As some of our patients predicted, we loved the
sugar-sand beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast.
We appreciated the
energy of Miami
Beach, contrasted to
the relaxed life of
Key West. Kim and
I found entertainment
in looking through
55+ communities in
Florida, as well as
DASH, the
Kardashian boutique.
Dr. Johnson did not
do his cycling trip
this year, but would
have done a trip to
Las Vegas by the
time you read this.

early! Flu vaccine is
recommended for
anyone 6 months or
older. Options
include high dose for
seniors, live nasal for
healthy 2 to 49 year
olds, thimerasol and
“functionally egg
free” Flucelvax, and
quadravalent vaccines in 2014. We
have a limited supply
of “free” flu vaccine
for kids (up to 18 y.o).
All others should go
to your favorite
pharmacy for shots!

Apple Health will offer health care coverage for individuals with annual income less
than $15,864, $26,952 for a family of three; so more people can get covered. Highline will host meetings for Apple Health Managed Plans beginning October 1st, 2013.

Welcome, Maddie, to Home Towne Family !!!
Maddie is our new medical assistant (M.A.) for Dr. Johnson. She enjoys reading and
watching movies, and is fluent in English and Tagalog. She plans to return to school,
with the ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. We are lucky to have so
many young people looking to improve their future and pursuing higher education.
