To set up your classes for testing, click on the Class Administration link or the Classes menu item. item 7 Teacher name and School Teacher name and School If you are the teacher that will be conducting testing with your students, you may see a class or classes already defined defined. If you don’t, simply click on the Create a New Class link and enter a name, subject, grade and an estimated number of students. t d t If any off the th information that is listed is wrong, simply click on the class title and you will be allowed to correct the information. If you are not the teacher that is conducting the assessment but you would like to have a “class” set up p with yyour students ((such as special ed. resource teachers), you should set up a New Virtual Class. This allows you to see the test results of students who complete testing under another teacher’s supervision. Once your class(es) are listed on this screen, screen click on the appropriate class name to assign students to the class. 8 T Teacher h and dS School h lN Name Locate students for the class and place a checkmark to the left of the names. Changes Student names hidden for privacy Student names hidden for privacy 10 Generating Test Access Codes 11 Teacher name and School Teacher name and School It is necessary for each teacher that will conduct testing to generate a class access code g on the day of the test. The test code is only active for 8 hours. To generate the access code, click li k on th the Benchmarks B h k menu item. 12 Teacher name and School Select the class that will take the assessment. Click on Proceed to next step… button. 13 Teacher name and School Select the Assessment that you will be administering. g Click on Generate Access Code button. 14 Teacher name and School Write down the Login code that appears or print out the page. Your students will all use this code to access the testing testing. Remember that this code is only active for 8 hours and must be generated the day of testing. 15 Viewing Reports 16 Click on Reports on the menu bar at the top or on the Reports link on the Welcome page. 17 Click on the appropriate Class and your desired test options. Then, click on Get Reports. 18 19 20 21 22 23 To display individual student reports (separate page for each student t d t in i the th class l or one student only), return to the main Reports page and scroll down to this section. 24 Sample student report 25 Student Login Procedures Benchmark Assessments 26 Navigate to the Thinklink Learning website from the district’s home page (located under the Parents & Students menu) or http://www.thinklinklearning.com 27 Click on Student Login 28 Students should click on the Benchmark button to begin the assessment. 29 Students then enter the access code you generated earlier that day for the test. Remember the access code is only active for 8 hours. Once the access code is entered entered, students should click on Login. Benchmark Assessment Test 30 Benchmark Assessment Test Each student should scroll through the list of students in the class and click on his/her own name to begin the test. 31 Benchmark Assessment Test To begin the test and follow the questions in order, students should click on the here link at the top of the page (“Click here to start assessment at the beginning”) 32 Benchmark Assessment Test The student should click on the answer they wish to select and then click Next Page. To change an answer selected on the page, the student can click on reset answers. 33 Benchmark Assessment Test Iff the student has time and wishes to go back and look over previous questions/answers, he/she should click on the Question List button. When you are satisfied with the probe probe, click Save & Exit. 42 The probe is now saved and ready for assignment. 43 Teacher name and School Select the class that will be assigned the probe. Then click Add Selected, Save and Exit. 44 Record the Login Code. The students will need this code to access the Probe online. You may set game options on this screen to allow students to complete the probe in a “Game” Game mode. 45 T Teacher h name and dS School h l Teacher name and School Practice probe results are available in the Practice Probe Grade Book. 46 Student Login Procedures Practice Probes 47 Online Practice Probes Click on Student Login 48 Students should click on the Progress Zone button to begin the practice probe. 49 Online Practice Probes Students should enter the Probe Code generated by the teacher during the creation of the activity. The student should click on the radio button associated i t d with ith th their i d desired i d fformatt and then click Next. 52 Online Practice Probes Students click the Start button after reading the basic instructions. The student then answers the question presented on the screen and then clicks on Save Answer before clicking Next. 53 Online Practice Probes If the th student t d t answers the th question ti correctly tl on the th first try (or second if the teacher sets up the option), he/she can activate the game mode by clicking on Start Game. The student can choose t move onto to t the th nextt question ti without ith t playing l i the th game by clicking Next. 54 Online Practice Probes The student can view their results! 55 Accessing Illinois State Learning Standards and Online Resources 56 Teacher name and School The Resources menu provides you with access to the Illinois State Reporting Categories, including Skills, Description, Subskills and links to online resources for each Skill area by grade level. You can access this information by clicking on the appropriate grade level Show button for the Skill you are researching. 57 Teacher name and School Clicking on the “+” signs to the left of the Subskill headings will reveal online resources and United Streaming video clips that are associated with that particular subskill. 58
