Condorcoat Al 16 has officially been approved by Qualicoat
Zurich.
Condorcoat AL 16 is a nanotechnologic product for chromium
free, phosphate free conversion treatment used to produce on
aluminium and magnesium alloys an almost colorless
conversion layer dry in place.
CONDORINE SERIES FOR REMOVAL OF PROCESSING OILS
The superficial nanotechnologic conversion coating, composed
by zirconium and titanium sealed on the surface by a film based
on special resins, increases performances of the following
painting, liquid or powder.
the conversion layer ha excellent bonding properties for paint
and supplies a valid protection against filiform corrosion
between paint and base metal.
The product does not require any rinse after treatment.
However, for pieces with many liquid drag out, it is
recommended to carry out a rinse with demi water to avoid
coating weights higher than the advised range (between 50 and
150 mg/mq).
Condorcoat Al 16 bath is manually controlled by determination
of the acidity point or by our on line control and dosing chain
CONDORCLEAN IC.
The bath can be purified with traditional chemical physical
plants, or with our CONDORDEPUR series.
Condorine 105 Removes tough oils from metal such as copper,
brass and steel.
Its formulation is reach in non-ionic surfactants but with a
moderate content of alkalis. It allows to achieve excellent
results in terms of emulsifying power towards processing oils
without etching the metal surface.
The product works at 40-60° - barrel, immersion, ultrasonic and
spray – pH at 1% = 12
Condorine 144CU Removes processing and rolling oils from
copper and brass.
The product has two main characteristics:
being neutral and containing a very low amount of salts
it can be used in monostep lines or where there is no further
rinse after degreasing
it grants a perfect degreasing of copper and brass
surfaces without etching the base metal and leaving the surface
of the material protected and temporarily passivated
Product works at 50-70°C – spray or immersion pH at 1% = 6.2

Passivante R300 Prevents
oxidation
and
consequent
opacification of copper and brass.
This result is obtained without any kind of deposit on the metal
surface.
The product modifies the superficial structure of the metal
without any color or shine change and it keeps unchanged the
main characteristics such as solderability and conductivity
Product is cromates free and provides a higher resistance than
the chromic treatment. This reaction is not affected by
progressive ageing of the bath.
Product can be applied as last step without further rinse.

CONDOROIL AND CONDORCOAT EC 980
In November the Ecca autumn congress will take place in Brussels as usual. During
the convention, our Mrs Rocco Emanuela, from R&D department, will present a paper
on chrome free pretreatment for galvanized steel in colour coating lines.
Here below a short abstract
In the coil coating industry, corrosion resistance and aesthetic properties are essential for the quality of
the product.
To guarantee both the requirements along all the supply chain not only the paint step is important, but
also the pre-treatment step plays a key role.
The pre-treatment step converts the metal surface in order to improve its resistance to corrosion and to
enhance the adhesion of the paint to the metal.
Application of the product can be done in traditional spray tunnels or by chemical coater.
In the application by chemical coater are predominantly used products containing organic film
polymers (see our Condorcoat EC 940 and EC960).
In spray applications, instead, traditional products based on hexavalent chromium, complex oxides (
nitrocobalt) or again crystalline phosphating can be still found . In some cases there could be lines
adopting nanotechnologic formulations already used in the chemical coater.
Indeed the organic products are very foamy when used in spray applications. The resin has tendency to
soil ramps, rollers and areas where the liquid is spryed and it can be very difficult to get a uniform
deposit of the substrate.
Moreover, since polymers are very susceptible to the pH, especially when in emulsion, the working bath
has to be monitored constantly to avoid sludge formation.
In order to eliminate the disadvantages given by a resins based product, designed to be used with the
chemical coater, Condoroil studied and formulated a product dedicated to spray lines called
Condorcoat EC 980
With Condorcoat EC980 the conversion of the surface is achieved in one step and does not require
further rinse. The product is chrome, cobalt and phosphate free and complies with environmental issues.
The formulation provides corrosion protection and paint adhesion combining the inorganic passivating
effect of acidity and zirconium salts with the functionality of the organosilane additives.

INDUSTRIAL CLEANING
Alessandro Niero, graduated in chemistry, started his cooperation with Condoroil end of July as an expert in industrial cleaning.
He has been working for years as formulator and also as for technical assistance at a company manufacturing washing machines.
This is why we addressed, as usual, to our Art Designer Dario Bevilacqua
who designed this elegant and refined brochure that synthetically contains
the philosophy of our product:
The well-organized storage unit of the concentrated products and of the
intermediate compounds, allows to produce the desired products in the
time required by the customer.
Each single lot is tested in our laboratories and a sample is stored for a 12
months period.
Services that Condoroil will offer are:
optimization of chemicals in order to meet all requirements
contamination tests on the treated pieces in order to optimize the proposed solutions (optimization of the layout, process parameters, etc.)
tests for optimization/choice of the more suitable water treatment (sedimentation test, decantation test, stress test on water treatment plants)
When required, a performance test and a pre shipment sample is supplied
to the customer
For this reason, we have equipped our laboratories with machines and equipment we consider necessary to perform the best service in the execution of tests
and in the technical evaluation of the achieved results

DRAWING
Enrico Massè, more than 20 years technical commercial background in the field
of cold forming, phosphating and soaps for drawing and in the nitric free pickling
for stainless steel, started his cooperation last August.
This field is already largely developed by Condoroil but we are sure that, thanks to
Mr Massé experience, we will be able to further expand the market.

METALBULLETIN: 20° GALVANIZING & COIL COATING CONFERENCE
Condoroil joined the 20” Galvanizing and Coil Coating conference which took place
in Istanbul Sept 7-8Steel producers, service centers and traders met and discussed the sustained challenge of
overcapacity from China and the implications this is having on the market.
Commercial and technical presentations have been given on many topics such as Focus on
R&D into new products and processes for the automotive sector
Developments in coatings and technologies to meet changing end-user requirements
Future zinc supply and subsequent pricing movements
The role of galvanized and coated steel products in the increased demand for renewable
energy sources and many others.
Following the realization of three mixers of 12 ton each, which allow us
to supply homogeneous lots of 36 tons, we have officially opened the
paint production plant and, currently, we are in the position to produce
our target of 1.000 tons per shift/tear.
The production unit can now produce lots from 200 kg to 36 tons,
starting from pigments and additives in powder in order to reduce costs of
raw materials.
Condoroil intention is to create, with his support, a new industrial cleaning division to be able to cooperate with plant producers and users interested in a real
research service for the selection of the best product.
