end except three: continuous charity,
beneficial knowledge, and righteous offspring
who will pray for him
With the continuous support and generous donations from our
brothers and sisters, Imam Ali Masjid is able to commemorate
and celebrate the many Islamic events throughout the year.
The Masjid offers various religious and social programs that
unite and bring members of our community together.
Recognizing the importance of youth in the community, part
of the Masjid’s mission is to offer an enriched, educational
environment for youth.

Over the course of the past year, Imam Ali Masjid was able to
hold numerous successful and memorable events. With your
support, the Masjid looks forward to continue serving the
community and expanding its achievements. Here is a look back

‫إذا مات اإلنسان انقطع عمله إال من ثالث‪ :‬صدقة جارية‪ ،‬أو‬
‫علم ينتفع به‪ ،‬أو ولد صالح يدعو له‬
‫بفضل هللا تعالى و بدعم و تبرعات األخوه و األخوات قام‬
‫المسجد بتنظيم و إحياء العديد من الفعاليات و المناسبات‬
‫اإلسالمية‪ .‬كما أسس المسجد نشاطات و برامج موجهه‬
‫للجاليه اإلسالميه مع اهتمام خاص بالشباب لجذبهم الى‬

Eid celebrations
Imam Ali Masjid offers fun and interactive activities
during the events of Eid. To celebrate Eid al-Fitr, Eid alAdha and Eid Al-Ghadeer, the Masjid welcomes all
families to come join the fun! Activities include BBQs,
carnival games, prizes, face painting, and much more!

community. The Club offers our

Canadian Middle Eastern Youth
Organization
Collaborating with the Canadian Middle Eastern Youth
Organization (CMEYO), the Masjid holds weekly youth
conferences. The program involves Islamic lectures,
discussions, debates, indoor sports and dinner. The program
offers a great environment for our youth to come together to
socialize, learn about Islam, and ask questions.

During the month of Muharam the
Masjid held majalis of Aba Abdillah alHussain.
“Hussein is

The program consisted of English
and I am
lectures by followed by an Arabic
lecture and finly Latmiyat were recited
from
Hussein” A children’s program was
also initiated to engage the younger ones
and encourage their attendance.
A Ladies program was also organized for the sisters during the
day. The program encompasses recitation of the Holy Quran,
Islamic lectures as well as zeyara.

‫يقيم مسجد اإلمام علي (ع) مجالس أبا عبد هللا‬
‫الحسين (ع) في كل عام‪.‬‬
‫يحتوي البرنامج اليومي على العديد من‬
‫الفقرات حيث يبدأ بتالوة القرآن الكريم و‬
‫زيارة اإلمام الحسين ثم كلمة باللغة اإلنكليزية‬
‫من وحي كربالء و بعدها مجلس حسيني‬
‫باللغة العربية و يختتم بعزاء حسيني‪.‬‬
‫كما يقيم مسجد اإلمام علي (ع) مجالس نسائية في شهر محرم ‪.‬‬

Special program
for the Holy month of Ramadan
The daily evening program begins with the recitation of a
juz’ from the Holy Quran, followed by prayer, a light iftar,
du’a al-iftitah and zeyara.
During the holy month, the mosque commemorates the deaths of
Abu Talib, sayeda Khadija, and the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS).
The program for the month also
includes a’maal of the nights of
Qadr and the celebration of the
birth of Imam Hassan (AS).

‫ والفقه‬،‫ وعلوم وتفسير القرآن‬،‫ والفلسفة‬،‫في العلوم اإلسالمية‬

The Masjid was pleased to hold the Islamic seminar
for young ladies; hosted by Hajji Nadia Hamed, a
scholar specializing in Islamic Studies, Philosophy,
Quran, tafseer, and Islamic Jurisprudence. She is a
qualified teacher with years of experience teaching at
both the high school and University levels.
