Barcellona-‐Pozzo di Gotto By Sirine This week in Italy (Sicily) we did lots of this of things to because there were lots of things to do here in Sicily. It’s the island of contrasts, for example there is the volcano which is really cold and not far from the beach which is beautiful and hot. People here in Barcellona are completely different than France. They are more friendly. It’s a little town where everybody knows everybody so they are not used to seeing foreigners so all of them want to have pictures with us, it’s a little like being Mickey in Disneyland. In Barcellona all people come to you to say “Ciao”, they are more touchy-‐feely , in only few days with them we feel like we have know them since months. The two first days we stayed in Barcellona. The first day when we come to the high school absolutely all students were around us. They showed all their classes, they interrupted classes only to say “Bongiorno”, “Here are the French”, it’s at this type of moment were we can see the different between the two mentalities. We went to Montalbano, a prehistoric site. After we visited a medieval castle. We climbed up the volcano Etna which was very high and cold but when we were on the top the view was wonderful and worth our efforts. Syrine
