Mark Twain, Jack London, Robert Louis Stevenson, Louis Pasteur, Amelia Earhart, Princess Victoria Ka’iulani, King David Kalakaua, and President Franklin D. In 1895, an ornate Victorian type building replaced the earlier version of Volcano House only to be destroyed by a fire in 1940. A year later the current Volcano House was constructed on the most breathtaking spot imaginable – right at the rim of the crater, where Poly Ad’s tour guests can enjoy the view of a lifetime as they enjoy their lunch. The Volcano House is a featured stop on Poly Ad’s H1 and H2 tours.
