Kern County SCMAF Fact Sheet Primary Qualifying Meet: KCSC Championship Meet July 16th, 2016 General Information To qualify for participation in the SCMAF Championship at the SPLASH! La Mirada Aquatic Center in Los Angeles on August 13, 2016, a swimmer must have a verifiable swim time that places them in the top 10 of swimmers who wish to participate in the SCMAF championship from Kern County. However, priority for participation in the SCMAF championship will be given to swimmers who participate in the Kern County Swim Council Championship Meet on July 16th. More information on the SCMAF organization and the SCMAF Championship meet can be found at SCMAF.org. Swimmers who do qualify and participate will become part of the Kern County All Stars Swim Team and are eligible to practice at the Wasco Community Pool to prepare for the championship meet for an extra $10 to cover the cost of insurance. Practice for the SCMAF championship will start on Wednesday July 20th and end on Thursday August 11th. Practice will run 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday through Thursday evenings (except for the first week where practice will only be on Wednesday and Thursday). Entries Each swimmer may enter into a maximum of three (3) individual events. The swimmer’s age group will be determined by their age as of May 31, 2016. Entries must be submitted online at the following link SCMAF Entry Form, and are due on Friday July 22nd. If there are any issues with entries contact the Kern County All stars coach whose contact information is at the bottom of this fact sheet. Consent Forms Each swimmer must submit (A) SCMAF minor consent form completed in full available at SCMAF Youth Waiver & Release Form, and (B) legal proof of age (copy of birth certificate). These documents must be brought to the Wasco Community Pool, or mailed to (2425 9th St, Wasco, CA 93280), by Wednesday July 27th, 2016. Fees & Master Check-­‐in $25.00 to register for the SCMAF Championship, and an extra $10 for swimmers who will practice at the Wasco Community Pool. Please make checks payable to “Wasco Swim Club”. The fees cover the SCMAF Championship meet entry Fee ($15 per athlete) and assist with paying for the coach’s hotel rooms for the SCMAF championship. Fees will also be due by Wednesday July 27th and can be sent with the Consent form and birth certificate copy.
