Introduction
The Sultan Sands Island Resort, part of the family owned Bluebay Hotels, is a nestled on the beachfront in Kiwengwa in the
North East of Zanzibar, on a 25 acre stretch of subtly landscaped tropical gardens. This uniquely constructed magical African
resort offers 76 rooms built in single storey African style rondavels. The resort befits its name association with the fabled
Omani Sultans who ruled the Zanzibar Islands for centuries, and is the perfect choice for couples, families and groups alike.

Each room offers either one large bed or two queen size
beds with mosquito nets, en suite bathroom with a shower,
spacious veranda, split-level air conditioner, ceiling fan,
satellite TV, mini-bar, hair dryer, safe and telephone.

- yet with enough time ‘away from the children’. Sultan
Sands offers a fantastic kids club for children aged 3 to 13

Oasis Spa
Being at the very edge of a beautiful, wide tropical beach,
we give high premium to keeping our guests in harmony
with the natural environment of a tropical island. Our Spa,
appropriately named the Oasis Spa, keeps to this theme
with a wooden deck, thatch roof with palm trees growing
up through it and splashing water amid an abundance of
beautiful exotic plants.
The Oasis Spa is famed for its wide range of enticing and
relaxing treatments. A lifting sense of wellbeing engulfs you
as you are guided by our professional staff to one of the 8
different treatment rooms – all with an airy sea view overlooking the beach & the turquoise ocean beyond. The skin
care products have been selected for their pure & natural
ingredients. For a really memorable experience, ask your
therapist to mix the local spices and fruits right in front of
you. All of the freshly prepared treatments are famous for
their virtues for the body & aromas to relax the mind.
