The two-year-old who has captured international attention for being born without a face turned two years old Saturday and had a special birthday surprise. Rachel Coleman from the children's Signing Time video's was a guest at Juliana's birthday party. "They just showed up at our door unannounced and came to surprise and say happy birthday to Juliana," said Juliana's dad Tom Wetmore. Coleman, who found out Juliana was a fan of her videos said she wouldn't have missed the party for anything. "Well we heard it was somebody's birthday, and Miss Juliana here is a big signing time fan, from what everyone says they eat, drink, and sleep signing time in this house," she said. Coleman's daughter, Leah, was born deaf, and she says she learned very quickly the lack of fun learning tools for kids who rely on sign language. She created videos to teach young children to sign, and is responsible for helping hundreds of kids around the country. "I started it for Leah and now Leah is 8-years old, and now we're here in Florida with Juliana and she's 2-years-old, and she has 15 signs." Juliana's father said, "Both her and our 4-year-old Kendra, the way that they communicate now is all through sign language and they've got every single bit of it from the signing time videos." ©2010 First Coast News.
