The newly installed crosswalk in Key Largo at mile marker 99.7 alerts drivers of pedestrians using the pathway with flashing yellow lights on each side of the divided highway and in the median. The flashing yellow lights, indicates to both the pedestrian and drivers to advance with caution. If the crosswalk is clear of pedestrians, a car can go through. Drivers should always exercise caution when approaching the pedestrian crossing and pedestrians should always keep an eye out for traffic when attempting to cross the street.
