Dear orienteering friends,
the days of this year Junior World Championships (JWOC) are coming very soon... The Slovak Orienteering Federation
and especially the local organizers (ATU Kosice with many supporters) have already prepared all most important elements
for your stay in Eastern Slovakia.
The concept of this year JWOC is based on different types of terrain and different demands, value for money and social
atmosphere.
From technical point of view the organizers want to show you and to test your skills on almost all types of continental terrain
– from “classic” Carpathian terrains near to Kosice, via limestone areas in south of our country to detailed and technically
difficult areas of middle distance, plus, for sure, the sprint distance which will be located in the heart of the organizing city.
The Slovak Orienteering Federation is one of the smallest in Europe in number of active runners, but large in experience
of organizing major IOF events. We will do our best with aim to follow our tradition successfully as well as to satisfy our
guests with all aspects of the event.
See you soon!
