The IMA Foundation strives to make strategic giving decisions that align with the company’s business and the passions of our employees. The IMA Foundation gives back to the community through four key focus areas. Advancing Youth concentrates on in-school education programs that support early childhood, K-12 and higher education with an emphasis on dropout prevention and financial literacy. Enhancing economic vitality identifies nonprofit partners who are actively creating jobs in our communities. The IMA Foundation also focuses on preventative health and wellness initiatives and organizations that find ways to help reduce the cost of healthcare. Arts in education and cultural institutions are the focus of our contributions to arts and culture. IMA is proud to be among CSU’s first partners to be committed to the development of its Risk Management degree program in the College of Business at its Fort Collins campus. The availability of a risk management program in our region acknowledges the importance of the insurance industry and the need for us to educate and train our future workforce. IMA’s financial commitment will not only support the creation of the program, but also create an endowed scholarship to assist students who want to pursue a risk management degree. IMA’s recruitment efforts are already on a national scale. IMA voices I volunteer because I am grateful to have an opportunity to improve someone else’s life. I especially like that I can volunteer with my son and lead by example. - Pete Krsnich - Wichita, KS Volunteering is something that reminds me how fortunate I am and keeps life in perspective. The people that you help are always thankful no matter how small the task is. At the end of the day you realize what we can accomplish to make a difference in the lives of other people. - Lavonne Baker - Denver, CO Experiencing the promotion of goodness emits a feeling of selfworth and pride. The value of appreciation received really proves that one person can indeed make a difference. - Paulette Konrad - Dallas, TX My wife teaches elementary school in an area of town that is economically challenged and often we hear stories about less fortunate kids who are in great need and it moves us to want to reach out and get involved. For us it’s not to necessarily meet people or learn a new skill, but much more to have an influence on someone or improve someone’s current situation. - Kyle Orndorff - Wichita, KS p rotect i n g assets i s w h at w e do, “ “ Employee Engagement making a difference is who we are. - Rob Cohen, Chairman & CEO, IMA Financial Group Volunteer Overview 179 Community partners supported 5,353 Volunteer Hours by our I M A A ssociates IMA Associates contributed over $ 267,500 in volunteered time in 2013 IMA Associates volunteered in 5 states I MAke a difference day Starkey Industries Wichita, Kansas “ Hope Faith Ministries Kansas City Metro “ It’s called “I MAke a Difference”, but in the end it is “WE Make a Difference”. - Jeff Grace Helping those less fortunate has always been a passion.
