Nuestra empresa, fundada en Vic (Barcelona) el 1922 como
fabricante de maquinaria de lavandería, ha estado siempre presente
en la lavandería industrial como referente en nuestro país.
Primer was founded in Vic (Barcelona) in 1922 as a manufacturer of
commercial / Industrial Laundry Equipment and is commonly known
in many parts of the world as a highly reputed brand.
Actualmente nuestra nueva fábrica cuenta con más de 8.000 m2 y
con unas modernas instalaciones. Disponemos de un departamento
de proyectos e ingeniería (I+D) especializado en realizar cualquier
estudio técnico y económico de Lavandería.

8.000SM, with the most modern facilities. Our project management
and Engineering Department (R&D) specialised in technical studies
and Laundry projects.

Un producto clave en la lavandería hospitalaria (ropa infecciosa)
que cada vez es más necesaria en el mercado de hoy: lavadoras
que aïslan físicamente la zona sucia (infectada) de la zona ya
limpia ara evitar la contaminación. Las normativas sanitarias
en materia de limpieza se dirigen cada vez más hacia el control
de la calidad de desinfección que proporcionan los equipos de
lavandería. Este ámbito afecta no sólamente centros de proceso
de ropa hospitalaria (serie hospital), sinó también de ropa de
residencias de la 3ª edad o de discapacitados (serie residencia).

Doble puerta de carga y descarga (entrada de la ropa por la
parte delantera (1) y descarga por la parte posterior (2)). La
zona sucia no debe estar en contacto con la zona límpia, por
lo que se debe separar mediante una pared o tabique (ver
dibujo)

and are also directed to the washing equipment. This is not only

permite acortar el proceso de secado de las prendas a través
de la circulación óptima del caudal de aire caliente así como la
inversión del sentido de rotación del tambor, que facilita que el
aire caliente pase a través de toda la extensión de la prenda.
Esta característica és básica para asegurar la calidad de secado
en prendas grandes que tienden a enrollarse, provocando que
ciertas partes de las mismas no queden expuestas al aire:

Our industrial dryers of various capacities (10-75Kg) are always
in a process of development, as they are an important part of the
process in a laundry that might have a key effect on the energy
saving and cost-efficiency of a laundry.
For this purpose we have developed machines that shorten the
drying process of the linen through an optimal hot air flow and
the reversing drum action, which chanels the hot air through the
whole extension of the load. This feature is key to ensure the
complete drying of big pieces that otherwise tend to twist and
crease at some points and therefore would not dry evenly: big
sheets, bathrobes, long towels.
Last news in our dryer range include the following:
• Technological development to adapt to the low energy
consumption and cost-efficiency that the market requires for
economic and environmental reasons.
• New improved 35 and 80 machine with lower consumption
and better design
• New humidity sensor to greatly improve the saving in energy
consumption: at an affordable price and with new methods of
sensing the humidity in the garments, the machine will stop
at the requested humidity level, saving up to a 15% of the
monthly consumption
• Change on the lint filter design that will improve air circulation

PRIMER roller ironers are easy to use and are perfect for
small facilities, ranging from diameters of 18cm up to 30cm:
restaurants, B&B’s, beauty shops... are used for ironing napkins,
table cloths, small sheets, pillow cases.
These type of machines accept a small amount of residual
humidity, reason why the garments need to be partially dryed
after washing. In the 30cm diameter, the ironer has a vacuum
system: the roll is perforated, allowing the extractor fan to take
away some humidity. This allows the machine to work at higher
levels of humidity or at a faster speed, increasing the daily
production.

Maniquís y Cabinas: ideales para ciertas lavanderías

Nuestro departamento de I+D está centrado en la mejora
de la eficiencia energética global, donde se destacan cuatro
pilares fundamentales:

Our R&D department is centered in the global energy
efficiency improvement, where we can identify four main
points:
Energy Consumption, Water Consumption, Carbon footprint
(CO2) and chemicals products
Nos adaptamos a las tendencias e iniciativas europeas
basadas básicamente en el proyecto SMILE para lavanderías
sostenibles, que se centra en 16 iniciativas para reducir
kWh, CO2, producto químico y agua. Con una hoja de ruta
marcada y unas reducciones previstas.
We adapt to the environmental trends and European initiatives
based basically in the SMILE project for sustainable Laundries,
focusing in 16 initiatives to reduce kWh, CO2, chemicals and
water. With a specific roadmap and established reductions

Energy Consumption
No hay mejor energía que la que no se consume, por este motivo mejoramos
la eficiencia energética tanto en la fabricación como en el uso.
El funcionamiento de los equipos representa más de un 70% del consumo
total a lo largo de su vida, por este motivo es tan importante fabricar equipos
que regulen, controlen el uso y el consumo energético.
There is no better energy saving than the non-used one, and because of this
principle we improve the energy efficiency during the manufacturing process
and use of our products. The whole life cycle usages represent a 70% of the
global consumption, reason why it is so important to manufacture equipment
to regulate the control use and energy waste.
Los equipos que diseñamos y fabricamos lo hacemos optimizando los
programas para un uso más eficiente.
We design and improve our products optimizing the programs to increase
energy efficiency.
Maximizamos el rendimiento de nuestras máquinas con las mejores
tecnologías disponibles.

Consumo de agua
Water Consumption
La escasez de recursos naturales hace que todo ahorro sea nuestro objetivo
a la hora de diseñar nuestros equipos.
The scarce natural resources in some places make the concept “saving” one
of the main objectives when designing our equipment.
El control del uso del agua mediante tecnología avanzada nos permite ser
más eficientes en su uso.
The control of the use of water through advance technology allows us to be
more efficient in its use.
Gracias al control, recirculación y reaprovechamiento del agua, hemos
llegado a reducir el consumo de agua por ciclo Ahorramos de esta forma
gran cantidad de volumen de agua a lo largo de toda la su vida.
Thanks to the programming, recirculation and re-use of water we have
been able to reduce the water consumption per cycle. This way we save an
important amount of water throughout the machine’s live.
El agua tiene un costo de canalización y de saneamiento una vez utilizada.
Es por eso que cada vez más el agua se convertirá en un bien costoso y
escaso. Nosotros ya la estamos ahorrando.
Once used, the water needs channeling and purification and water
treatment, and it’s costly. Every time the cost of water increases, the water
savings are more important.
Emisiones de CO2 / huella de carbono
CO2 Emissions (Carbon Footprint)
CO2 es un gas de efecto invernadero, principal causante del calentamiento
global. Cada vez más, en vista de la problemática, se valoran las
actividades, empresas y productos bajos en emisiones de carbono.
CO2 is a greenhouse gas, highly responsible of the global warming. Every
time more, we value the activities, companies and products with a low CO2
impact.
Toda actividad humana tiene un impacto ambiental asociado, ya sea de
forma directa como indirecta.
All human activity has an impact in the environment, directly or indirectly.
The direct emissions would be the ones that are a consequence of the direct
use (i.e. gas combustion). The indirect ones are the ones that result of the
use of electricity (each kWh we use) and as result of daily tasks (transport,
management of waste, also)
Las emisiones directas serían las que se tiene un control de éstas (p.ej.
Combustión de gas), luego hay las indirectas por electricidad (hay emisiones
derivadas por la generación de cada kWh consumido). Y finalmente están las
otras indirectas, donde nos somos responsables pero no tenemos control (p.
ej consumibles de los proveedores, transporte, gestión de residuos, etc.)
Las emisiones asociadas en todo el ciclo de vida de una lavadora suele ser
éste:
· Materias primas 16%, Transportes 2%, Producción 6%, Vida útil y uso
72%, Residuo 4%.
· Es por ello de la importancia de analizar su uso, ya que tiene un peso muy
importante.
· Este peso se reparte normalmente por este orden de mayor a menor:
consumo energético para producción ACS, consumo de detergente,
consumo eléctrico motor, consumo y tratamiento de agua.
The life cycle emissions of regular laundry machinery would be: Raw
Materials 16%, Transport 2%, Production 6%, direct use 72% and waste 4%
Here the importance of analyzing its use as it has the most significant
weight. In this case the distribution from most to less important would
be: Water heating energy consumption, chemical products consumption,
electrical consumption of the motor and finally water use and treatment.
Savings in higher efficiency, water or chemical products mean a direct
reduction of the carbon footprint and the associated emissions to each wash
cycle or in a global term.
· Ahorros en eficiencia, agua o producto químico, se transforma
directamente en una reducción de la huella de carbono, y de las
emisiones de CO2 asociadas a cada lavado o de forma global a lo largo
de su vida.

Chemical product consumption
Por su impacto ambiental, por el saneamiento de agua y por su coste,
toda reducción en la cantidad de detergente, supondrá una reducción del
impacto ambiental y un ahorro económico.
For its impact in the environment, the need for water treatment and its cost
any saving in its use is a direct improvement for the environment and a
saving in costs.
Controlamos la cantidad de producto químico en función de la carga, y
controlamos el tiempo de cada ciclo de lavado permitiendo un ahorro de
producto acumulado muy significativo.
We control its use depending on the load and we program the cycle times to
allow an important saving in the dosage.
