Seminar to be held on January 30-31, 2016 on “Skill
Development through Education”. Grace the occasion
by your scholarly presence.
About the Institution
Dr. H. R. Gajwani College of Education, Adipur is located in
Kachchh (Kutch) District of Gujarat. It was established in 2005, in
the memory of Dr. H. R. Gajwani (07.08.1921 – 03.05.2005), an
eminent Eye-Surgeon of the twin towns Gandhidham/Adipur. It is
recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education, (NCTE),
Bhopal and affiliated to Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma Kachchh
University, Bhuj. It was accredited by NAAC in 2013 with ‘B’ Grade,
2.80 CGPA. The college, with a capacity for two units of students
offers two years Teacher Education Programme (B.Ed.). It is also a
center of Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar,
offering M. A. in Education & Diploma courses in Educational
Management & Guidance & Counseling.
About CTE
The Council for Teacher Education, Gujarat Chapter (CTEG)
was established under the umbrella of Council for Teacher Education, India. Since 2008 CTEG is working tirelessly, under the
dynamic leadership of Prof. R. G. Kothari to fulfill the objectives
of CTE, India through organizing various programmes such as
Seminars, Workshops, Training programmes, Publication of
Books etc for the professional development of teachers. Recently, new feather has been added to the cap of CTEG
through the launch of Bi-annual e-Journal “EduInspire - An
International e-Journal” with ISSN-2349-7076. For more information please visit www.ctegujarat.org. Since last two years
CTE Gujarat chapter has been winning the Award of The Best
Chapter among the 22 Indian CTE Chapters.
About the Seminar
Knowledge & Skills are the driving forces for development of any
country. Countries with higher levels of knowledge & skills can
more successfully meet the challenges and demands of new
economies and technologies. Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi
has rightly said, “If we have to promote the development of our
country, then our mission has to be skill development & skilled
India”. Such a highly ambitious vision demands a well planned,
comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable National policy of Education. In order to produce a skilled workforce through education
system, there is a need of an efficient and effective framework of
the Skill Development programs with appropriate Models, Curricula,
Pedagogy, Standards of Assessment & Training of the trainers etc.
This also calls for partnership of Education with Industry and stakeholders for making such programs more relevant and realistic. This
seminar attempts to generate ideas through scholarly papers from
multi-disciplinary perspectives and discussions which may find
fruition in concrete plans and programs of Skill Development in
future.

Call for Papers
Thematic/Research Papers relevant to the given Themes and SubThemes are invited for Presentation. Paper Presenters are requested to send their full length Papers in 2000-3000 words along
with abstracts in about 200-250 words, latest by 17th January,
2016 to [email protected]. The abstract and the paper
must be in MS Word format. The award of Best Paper Presenter will
be declared and awarded in the Valedictory Ceremony. Selected
papers will be published in ISSN journal or ISBN Book.
