Puppy Pokey
(Mary Marshall)
Tune: “Hokey Pokey”
You put your small paw in, you put your small paw out.
You put your small paw in, and you shake it all about.
You do the Puppy Pokey, and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
You put your cold nose in, you put your cold nose out.
You put your cold nose in, and you snuffle all about.
You do the Puppy Pokey, and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
You put your floppy ears in, you put your floppy ears out.
You put your floppy ears in, and you shake them all about.
You do the Puppy Pokey, and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
You put your wagging tail in, you put your wagging tail out.
You put your wagging tail in, and you shake it all about.
You do the Puppy Pokey, and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
You put your puppy self in, you put your puppy self out.
You put your puppy self in, and you shake it all about.
You do the Puppy Pokey, and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
Rags
(Corbett/ The Playtime Treasury)
I have a dog and his name is Rags,
He eats so much that his tummy sags,
His ears flip-flop, [move head side to side]
And his tail wig-wags, [shake bottom]
And when he walks he goes zig zag.
[move in zig, zag pattern]
He goes flip-flop, wig-wag, zig-zag. [repeat motions]
He goes flip-flop, wig-wag, zig-zag. [repeat motions]
He goes flip-flop, wig-wag, zig-zag. [repeat motions]
I love Rags and he loves me.
I love Rags and he loves me.

Puppy’s Doghouse
(Nichols/ Storytimes for Two-Year-Olds)
This is puppy’s doghouse [put tips of fingers together]
This is puppy’s bed [hands flat, palms upward]
This is puppy’s pan of milk [cup hands together like bowl]
Where he can be fed.
This is puppy’s collar [encircle neck with fingers]
His name is on it, too.
Take a stick and throw it [make throwing motion]
And he’ll bring it back to you! [clap hands rapidly]

One Little Puppy
(Lohnes/ Finger Folk)
One little puppy with a rawhide chew
Barked for a friend …”Woof”
And then there were two.
Two little puppies, sniffing ‘round a tree
Barked for a friend … “Woof, woof”
And then there were three.
Three little puppies, no less, no more
Barked for a friend … “Woof, woof, woof”
And then there were four.
Four little puppies, wiggly and alive
Barked for a friend …
“Woof, woof, woof, woof”
And then there were five.
Five little puppies at the end of the day
Heard their master calling …
And they all went away.

Puppy Dogs
(Ring A Ring O’Roses)
Five little puppy dogs
At the kennel door,
One didn’t like the crowd,
Then there were four.
Four little puppy dogs
Running ‘round the tree,
Mother called one puppy home,
Then there were three.
Three little puppy dogs
Playing with a shoe,
Foxy ran to chase a cat
Then there were two.
Two little puppy dogs
Having so much fun,
Rover went to find a bone,
Then there was one.
One little puppy dog
Sitting in the sun,
He went in the kennel,
Then there were none.
