Every Herald needs to be at this winters’ day-long coaching retreat which will
feature Mark Hale, director of the Masters of Harmony, and multi-gold medalist.
There are exiting days ahead for the Heralds as they prepare for Spring contest
as well as take some giant steps forward in building a chapter culture of
musical excellence, pride, and personal enjoyment for every singer.

On Saturday, January 16, the Heralds had the chance to spend the day with Mark Hale (quartet gold
medalist with Michigan Jake in 2001, and multiple chorus gold medal director of the Masters of Harmony
from southern California). Mark’s incredible musical insights and understanding of what make a chorus
truly great were so graciously shared with HoH throughout that day and on into the evening with our
chapter leadership. We are deeply indebted to this great barbershopper for effectively pushing us on
toward the next steps of Heralds’ excellence and achievement.

Well, the 2010 BHS Midwinter convention,
held here in beautiful Tampa, is just about
history. It’s been a fantastic week… and the
Heralds (serving as host chapter for this BIG
event) did themselves proud.
The events
of this week have gone off with an air of
excellence, that is the hallmark of any
HoH production.
So… “THANKS” to this guy… who dreamed
up the idea of HoH hosting a Midwinter ...
and… “THANKS” to this guy (Nick Schwob)
… who led all our efforts in a fantastic way.
and…. “THANKS” to all these dudes… who,
in the middle of Gasparilla week, made it all
work like it was supposed to.
We’re proud to be part of BHS… and
prouder still to be the TAMPA Chapter!
