Scan-Plast specializes in waste water solutions for “the open country”
If regulatory requirements according to the Danish water plans are issued regarding establishing a
waste water solution, or an improvement of existing conditions, Scan-plast is capable of conducting
premilinary examinations and the administrative work regarding public authorities case handling.
Grade of Purification:
SOP : Increased demands for reduction of organic matter and phosphorus plus nitrification.
SO : Increased demands for reduction of organic matter plus nitrification.
OP : Reduction of organic matter and total phosphorus.

Collection tank
A collection tank is discharged into and collects all waste water. The collection tank is discharged as needed
and the waste water is transported to a municipal cleaning facility that provides cleansing of the waste water.
Collection tanks are normally not usable at a permanent
residence, but are occasionally used at cottages where
the amount of waste water is limited.

Percolation system
The waste water is pre-treated in a settling
tank and is pumped from there to the percolation system.
In the percolation system the waste water is
purified, by percolation to the ground, where
the earth´s microorganisms convert impurities.The waste water may, after purification,
be discharged into a creek, trench, drainage
and similar.

Willow WWTP
The waste water is pre-treated in a settling
tank and is pumped from here to the willow
WWTP.
In the willow WWTP the waste water is absorbed/pre-treated by the willow and evaporates among others by leafs of the trees.
The willow WWTP is placed in the open country to maximize sun and wind effects.The waste water is not discharged from the facility.

filter.
In the planted filter the waste water is pretreated by percolation through the filtermaterial and by naturally occurring microorganisms in plant roots and grains of sand.
The waste water may, after purification, be
discharged into a creek, trench, drain and
similar.

Root WWTP
The waste water is pre-treated in a settling
tank, and is pumped from here to the root
WWTP.
In the root WWTP the waste water is pretreated through a gravel filter, which is
planted with reed or similar plants. Microorganisms in plant roots and grains of sand
transform the organic material and nutritions
form the waste water. The waste water may,
after purification, be discharged into a creek,
trench, drain and similar.
