Carraro drivelines have been optimised for
the individual markets of application, to
guarantee the very best efficiency and most
practical vehicle layout.
All this is possible thanks to the wide
range of combinations of rigid and
steering axles and mechanical, automatic
or semi-automatic transmissions. The
Carraro systems have been designed for
the optimal integration of mechanics and
hydraulics, under the supervision of an
advanced electronic control unit. This can
best manage the whole driveline while
monitoring and diagnosing the vehicle
functions.
O&K Antriebtechnik is one of the world´s
leading producers of planetary drives.
As a competence centre within the
Carraro Group, the company develops,
manufactures & offers a full-range of
final drives, slew drives and cutter drives
for mobile applications as well as drives
for winches, walkways and escalators.
Ever-shrinking dimensions enable the
units to be installed wherever space is of
the essence, but O&KA is also capable of
supplying the biggest drives ever made
anywhere in the world, adapted for the
largest mining shovels and tracked cranes.
SIAP is the centre of excellence of the
Carraro Group for heavy-duty steel
gears. In its plants the company is able to
manufacture state-of-the-art products,
thanks to leading-edge technologies
covering a huge range of machining
operations, with Gleason and Oerlikon
cutting systems and lapped or ground
surface finishings. The high quality of SIAP
gears is assured by advanced processes
for control – on Zeiss and Klingelnberg
systems – and verification of meshing
noise on testers. Optimisation of geometry
and drive is ensured through the use of
dedicated software programs.
Carraro Drive Tech
Drivelines for agricultural
applications
The Carraro Drive Tech Range for
agricultural Tractors includes steering
drive Axles or front Suspension Modules
for a power range engines between 35
and 370 hp, coupled with a range of
Transmissions up to 180 HP.
Carraro Drive Tech also proposes several
configurations of rear steering drive Axles
for Harvesting Machines.
The “Local for Local” Philosophy has not
been adopted by Carraro just to realize its
Global Manufacturing Footprint, but also
in the Product Development approach.
Thanks to the Local Enginnering
Presence, Carraro has achieved a deep
knowdlege of Customer Needs not only in
the traditionally Markets, but also of the
Emerging ones.
Leveraging such know-how Carraro has
conceived its Product Range offering
solutions suitable for both Basic and
Premium Applications.
Designed to meet different needs (crop
types, land dynamics, maneuvering
Space, etc.) and to work in all enviroment
conditions, the Carraro transmission
Systems deliver vehicle performance that
will maximize the productivity, at the same
time enhancing the fuel efficiency.
The most advanced System includes the
proprietary Electronic Control Unit, which
enables the management of the whole
powertrain optimizing its performances, in
terms of easy driveability, productivity and

Configuration
› Transmission with Dual Clutch architecture:
the even gears are connected to one of
the two clutches, and the odd gears to the
other. When changing gear the electronic
control pre-selects the required gear by
means of the synchroniser, and therefore
inverts the clutch transmitting the power
› Standard speeds range from 1.6 to 40 km/h.
Maximum speed can be taken to 50 or 60 km/h
simply by acting on the electronic control
