Ixtapan Spa & Golf Resort has 2 Spas. Our Spa Serene, is value oriented and has been
catering to our American clientele for 58 years as a destination spa. The Holistic Spa opened in
2007 and is a unique high end experience. A la carte treatments are available on each, for
participants on other programs or hotel non spa guests.
The goals of our Spa Classic Programs are to offer guests a complete spa and fitness
vacation with all services included in one package price.
Our Signature Spa Classic Programs use organic products for spa
services. Tension relieving massages, radiance facials, skin
exfoliation and moisturizing fangos are in our 5th Floor Serene
Spa. Guests enjoy manicures/pedicures, hair and nail

Swedish Reductive Massage (50 min)
Swedish reductive massages are 50 minutes in duration and
cover the full body. These type of massages use 5 basic flowing
strokes to relax muscles and reduce joint stiffness. They also
assist in weight reduction. Clients can choose the intensity they
wish from their massage therapist.
Facial with Reflexology (50 min)
Signature Facials are performed with organic products and masks made
daily at the resort. The Signature facial is 50 minutes long and its goal is to
cleanse, then moisturize and invigorate the skin. During the facial, a
reflexologist will also massage the guest's feet for a full relaxation experience.
Loofah Salt Glow
Ixtapan Spa's Loofah salt scrub will gently exfoliate and moisten the skin. Our
therapist will use gentle massage to loosen dead cells and leave skin soft and glowing.
Fango
Our Loofah is followed by a Fango in the same treatment room. The Fango is a covering
of warm soft mud, mixed with oils and applied to the body to penetrate and further relax
muscles. The combination of Loofah and Fango enables our guests to reach a
new level of relaxation.

Hair Treatments
Hair treatments are done in our full service salon.
Each treatment will use different vegetables and
oils to give hair renewed shine. Treatments
utilize various oils, tomato and avocado all
effective in restoring life to over processed hair.
During hair treatments, the therapist will also
deliver a shoulder and neck massage.
Nail Treatments
Nails are bathed in oils and subjected to lightly
applied heat in order to treat dry and broken
nails and cuticles. Nail treatments are
complemented with a professional manicure and

Four hand massage inspired in India, where equality is key in Abhyanga. Two operators
work in tandem, balancing the energy channels of the entire body, combining shiatsu
and ayurvedic techniques.
Oriental Thai Massage (80 min)

treatment combines traditional Thai stretching massage
techniques with Hindu lymphatic cleansing and Japanese

Triple Aromatherapy (80 min)
Combining the Japanese techniques of shiatsu and
Chinese reflexology with deep tissue massage,
using the natural essential oils of eucalyptus and
lime. Relaxation is enhanced by soft new age music.

reduction, restoring both mental and physical balance.
Massage techniques used frequently encourage
the taking of short naps during this treatment.
Mystic Hot Stone Massage (80 min)
Alternating strokes with hands and smooth,
heated river stones, while stimulating the
chakras (or energy points in the body) with
more hot stones. Enhanced by candle
light, mystic tribal music, and the faint
scents of incense, this treatment is
perfect to enhance spiritual well-being,
and a deep sense of inner harmony.
Invigorating Body Treatment (80 min)
We use the advanced GX-99 vibrator
massage on both sides of the body, and
follow up with acupressure and a hot towel
treatment. After this we apply your choice of
a hot reducing gel, or a cold gel for body
firming.

Balinese Hot Clay Treatment (100 min)
Experience the ultimate in this extravagant
cleansing session, with two therapists working
harmoniously. Starting with loofah exfoliation
treatment, followed by a special heated fango for
deep detoxification. A Vichy shower is used to
rinse the body and is followed by a deep tissue
massage, using rhythmic strokes, shiatsu,
acupressure, and reflexology.
Deep Massage (50 min)
A strong Swedish massage, flowing thru the
channels of energy of the entire body. This
stimulation releases negative energy and

guests at both airports. The resort
owns its own vehicles, all marked
with the company logo and phone
number. All drivers are full time ground
transportation employees and have
guests’ names on printed manifests.
Guests begin their vacation immediately
with a friendly welcome from their Ixtapan
Spa Hotel and Golf Resort driver.
The area was discovered in 1394 by indigenous Pacific Indians who found and enjoyed
the salt from local thermal springs. Generations have visited this white washed city for its
healing traditions and lovely micro-climate. A pleasant walk from the resort are historic
streets, lined with colonial churches, flowered plazas, craft and food markets, and shops
offering local pottery, pewter, embroidered clothes and silver. The city is hilly with views
over red roofs and cobbled streets and a background of forested mountains.
