Ranger is available with a 2.5L petrol engine, or a choice of a 2.2L or 3.2L diesel engines.1 Each of
these high-tech units combines power and efficiency with fantastic range. For example, the
2.2L diesel engine puts up to 277 lb.-ft. of net torque at your disposal for excellent flexibility when
you are on the move.
Depending on which model and engine you prefer, Ranger comes with either a 5- or 6-speed
manual transmission,1 or a smooth 6-speed automatic1 that features a manual sequentialshift capability.

IT’S TOUGH AT THE TOP.
Prevention is better than a cure. That’s why Ranger incorporates an Anti-Lock
Brake System (ABS)1 to help you steer clear of an accident. However, even ABS
is no guarantee, so Ranger also includes a strengthened bodyshell, collapsible
steering column and pedals, and active restraint systems, including multiple
available airbags.
