(For inter-school competitions and Outside school activities) : ----------------- CLASS/CLASSES INVOLVED : Class 1 to Class 10 INTER-CLASS/GROUP/ INDIVIDUAL NAMES OF PARTICIPANTS A BRIEF REPORT : Like every year, this year too, on the 26th of January, we witnessed the Republic Day celebrations to commemorate the day our Constitution came into force 62 years ago, in the year 1950. Once again sounds of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ echoed through the school grounds, as we assembled to celebrate this significant day in Indian history. Keeping in line with our traditions, the celebrations began with a small prayer to invoke God’s blessings, after which, the National flag was hoisted by our Headmaster. The familiar notes of the National Anthem followed, filling our hearts with the tremendous feeling of pride and patriotism for our mother land; India. After this, a group of gallant ‘Scouts and Guides’ were presented with their ‘Pravesh’ Badges, after having successfully cleared their examination. This was followed by an exhilarating performance of A.R Rahman’s ‘Vande Mataram’ by Rahul Gaikwad and his troupe of singers. Next, a patriotic poem was recited by Dylan Fernandes of class 9-A, following which Vaibhav Ghegade of class 9-C delivered a speech in Hindi. Parth Agarwal of class 6-B also recited a poem in Marathi. To culminate the celebrations our Headmaster, Mr. Bunyan, addressed the assembly. This was rather uplifting and was keenly listened to by one and all. Surely, everyone left the school filled with a new patriotic fervor, a sense of duty towards the nation, and empowering thought of being an INDIAN!
