ROAD TRIP BINGO 10 things to have in your Emergency Kit Leave your blinds and curtains exactly as you would keep them if you were at home. Noticeable changes could hint that you are not around anymore. The same goes for your lights. Leaving a light on the entire time you are gone will signal that you are not home. If you are worried about security, you can always put your lights on a timer. Unplug toasters, computers, and other appliances to protect them from power surges. That plastic rock isn’t fooling anyone! Remove your spare key from its hiding spot while you are away. Empty your refrigerator of perishables. Make sure all of your doors and windows are closed and locked (don’t forget the doggie door!). Store all valuables in a safe place. Turn your heat or air conditioning down (no need to heat or cool a space you won’t be in!). 1. Flashlight 2. Batteries 3. Jumper cables 4. Antifreeze 5. Small shovel 6. Scraper and snowbrush 7. Candles and matches 8. Tow rope 9. Warning light or road flares 10. When you spot an item in the pictures on your trip, simply check off the square. The rules? Up to you! The prize? We suggest ice cream. If you are planning on playing with multiple players, either photocopy this page before you leave, or have each player draw a different symbol in a corner of each box (like a checkmark, star, or triangle) when they spot the items.
