volunteer for
groups like the
Earth Day
committee
Tip: You can volunteer for both oncampus and off-campus, in your
major and out of your major.
Remember what interests you. I’ve
volunteered at Earth Day.
Step 9 – Interests
• What do you like to
do?
• What is your
major?
Tip: Being part of a committee/group,
gives you the opportunity to share
talents you might not otherwise use
in your everyday job or major.
Usually, this group will appreciate you
sometimes more than you everyday
job or major.
Step 10 – Professional
• Research

organizations.
• And, whenever
you can, join a
professional
association.
Tip: Being part of a professional
organization will jump-start your
leadership skills.
