JEANETTE WALLS TO BE HERE!
Coney Glassware with speaker Jay George
Jay George grew up in Lonaconing, played baseball and
used the playground which sits on the site of the former
glass factories. He carried pieces of the glass home to
decorate aquariums. About 35 years ago, he started
collecting the colorful glassware, with now over 1,200
pieces, many rare from 1920-32. “The quality and
workmanship of the glass produced in Lonaconing has
made it highly collectable and desirable even to those
who are not aware of its origin.”
