Congratulations Julie Cole! Wayne Paulino It looks like we are finally seeing pricing stabilize instead of rising every week. Pricing has dropped on spruce dimensional lumber and plywood’s. There still is an air of caution as to how long this trend will hold, but it is a welcome sign at the beginning of the building season. Julie Cole and Size Matters scored the youth 14-18 working hunter reserve championship at the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio. Julie Cole, daughter of Michelle and Jim Cole (SCC Construction), and her gelding, Size Matters, were awarded an AQHA Youth Supreme Champion Award at the 2012 Region 5 Championship in Columbus, OH. Since June 2010, Julie and Size Matters have been a team and have racked up some pretty impressive awards. We’d like to congratulate Julie and know that with her ambition and hard work, she’ll continue to do well in continuing her education and in her riding future. Wafer board/OSB products are still in a land of their own. The consensus is that it has come down as far as we may see it go, and it’s still uncertain how long it will stay there. Hopefully if and when it does go up, it won’t get to the levels that it has been. Pressure treated is still struggling to stabilize prices, and it seems to be due to the weather conditions in the south. As it’s been, sheetrock is still stable at this point with no increases being talked about. This month we’ve seen an increase in fiberglass insulation As seen last month, shingles have had an increase, but we have again managed to hold our prices. Also, a reminder that our boom truck and fork-truck are available and can place shingles on your roof job, or place full pallets of material where you need them. She was in church that day listening to a Mother's Day sermon when the idea came to her. For her, since the death of her mother, she was raised and nurtured by her father. In her eyes, her father is the most wonderful man; courageous, loving and selfless. And since her father's birthday was in June, Sonora celebrated the first Father's Day in June 19th, 1910. Fourteen years later, in 1924, President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. In 1972, President Nixon established a permanent U.S. observance of Father's Day to be held on the third Sunday of June. So the idea for creating a day for children to honor their fathers began in the heart of a woman in Spokane, Washington. Since then Fathers day is being celebrated throughout the world on the 3rd Sunday of June every year. ______________________________________________________ Stop in at Pickett for Rebate forms on & ______________________________________________________ Home Inspection Nightmares "How ingenious is this: To reduce the chance of electrocution from the circuit breaker panel, they simply lowered the shower head!" -www.thisoldhouse.com Download this, as well as past issues of the Contractor Bulletin from our websites Facebook.com/PickettBuildingMaterials Facebook.com/OneontaBlock PickettBuildingMaterials.com OneontaBlock.com
