Laws in the field of drugs in ROMANIA
Romania has incorporated 74 new
psychoactive substances into the permanent
schedules of controlled drugs. In 2010 the
law was modified by adding 44 substances
and plants with psychoactive effects to the
Annexes to Law no 143/2000 on preventing
and countering the illicit drug use and
trafficking. Last year another 30 NPS were
put under control by national law.
Law no.194/2011 on counteracting operations
with products suspected as having psychoactive
effects, other than those stipulated in the
regulatory documents in force – punishes
unauthorized distribution of NPS
