for involvement. Below are

and campaigns that might
be of interest to you.

Core opportunities
for involvement
Dance Marathon
Dance Marathon is a student-run
philanthropy in which students raise funds
for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
The year culminates with events where
students stand on their feet through
dancing, games and entertainment in
celebration of the total amount raised
that year.
Dance Marathon at UF – Gainesville, FL
FSU Dance Marathon – Tallahassee, FL
UCF Knight-Thon – Orlando, FL
FAU Dance Marathon – Boca Raton, FL
Radiothon for Kids
(English and
Hispanic events)
Radiothon for Kids
includes a six-week
online fundraising
campaign, which
culminates in a three-day on-air event
broadcasted by a local radio station.
Ambassador families, hospital physicians,
sponsors and volunteers come together
to raise funds to benefit Greater Orlando
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The
West Palm Beach Radiothon is a two-day
event hosted by Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals in conjunction with Glades Media,
raising funds for the kids through WLLY FM
99.5 La Ley and WWRF 96.9 FM-1380 AM
Radio Fiesta.

Partner Campaigns
Children’s Miracle Network often partners
with local and national retailers like Publix
and Walmart to raise funds for UF Health
Shands Children’s Hospital. Kick-off events
for these campaigns are integral to the
success of our partners’ fundraising efforts,
and offer the opportunity for ambassador
families to attend and share their stories.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF
Health Shands Children’s Hospital impacts
children from throughout the state of Florida
and across the United States.
Not only does Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals raise funds for our hospital to use
the money where it’s needed most — to
support research, training and to provide
advanced equipment — it also provides our
young patients with the most personal,
quality-care experience through activities
like movie and popcorn night or personal
hospital visits to deliver surprise goodies.

There is nothing more powerful and
motivating than a miracle story. It is a way to
heal, and a way to make a positive difference in
the lives of other children and their families who
may be experiencing health care challenges.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® touch
the lives of more children and their families
than any other children’s charity. Whether
they suffer from common childhood
afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or
fight bigger challenges like birth defects or
cancer, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
provide comfort, treatment and hope to
millions of sick kids each year.
The Children’s Miracle Network ambassador
program at UF Health Shands Children’s
Hospital provides a platform to help families do
just that — share their incredible stories to
further its mission of building awareness and
increasing funds for hospitalized children in
our local community.

By serving as an
ambassador family,
you will serve as a
true champion of
UF Health Shands
Children’s Hospital.
You will have the
opportunity to
participate in as
few or as many
activities as you
like. From special
events to speaking
engagements
and more, you
choose your level
of involvement.
Some of the activities offered throughout the
year include Dance Marathon, Radiothon,
campaign kick-off events, inclusion in hospital
newsletters and publications, and more.
When you join our Children’s Miracle
Network ambassador program, not only are
you making a difference in the lives of so
many children and their families, but you are
doing so in a supportive, encouraging
environment surrounded by a network of
families who are all going through similar
health care challenges.
