Network Hospitals. Our goal this year is to raise $600
by August 31st. You can make a difference by making a
$1 or more donation at the Credit Union. In return, we
will proudly display your name (or name of person you
wish to donate on behalf of) on our paper Dog slips in
our lobby!
One hundred percent of ever y dollar donated by
members of the credit union movement goes back to the
CMN Hospital which serves our community, our
members. CMN Hospitals treat millions of children
every year; in fact, it is the world’s largest children’s
charity.

Facts about Credit Unions for Kids:
Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of
credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle
Network Hospitals. Adopted as our movement’s
charity of choice, credit unions are the 3rd largest
sponsor of CMN Hospitals.

Contact us! Let us know WHEN and WHERE you’ll be traveling to ensure that your card’s
aren’t suspended for unusual activity.
Limit your cards. Bring only the cards that you need for your
trip and leave the others at home. Lock up valuables. Carry
only small amounts of cash and use hotel safes to store cards
and passports.
Make a copy of everything in your wallet. Keep a record of all
the cards in your wallet and the telephone numbers to contact
should you have to report lost or stolen cards.
Protect your PIN. As you would at home, use caution when conducting a transaction at an ATM
or point-of-sale terminal by shielding your Personal Identification Number (PIN) with your hand
or body.
Keep your receipts. Save the receipts of all your purchases and compare them against your financial statements when you return. If you detect any unusual activity, please let us know ASAP!

We would like to welcome our newest member of the
BTFCU Team, Dave Van Buskirk. Dave has recently
moved down south with his family from Houston, and
has been working in the Credit Union world for over 5
years. He has a strong background in management and
will be joining us as our new Executive Vice President!
He is married to his wife, Erica, of 7 years, and they
have 2 precious little ones, Levi (4 years old) and Ezri
