Jadyn Wallis Camp Director Coach Jadyn Wallis took over as head coach in 2012 and took the Drovers to two straight Sooner Athletic Conference Tournaments. In 2014, Coach Wallis led the Drovers to their best record since 2006 and had the fourth most wins in program history with 37. About the University Wallis is a former NCAA Division I athlete who played four years for Patty Gasso at the University of Oklahoma, the 2013 NCAA Softball National Champions. After graduating from OU, Smith went back to her high school alma mater, Newcastle, where she served as an assistant for two years. Additionally, she served as pitching coach to SAC-rival Oklahoma Baptist before taking over the Drovers’ program. In addition to her assistant coaching duties at OBU and previously at Newcastle, Smith had a pitching and skills clinic for 40 athletes a week for four years. She also has helped with the Josh Heupal ‘Day of Champions,’ where she has taught leadership skills and establishing trusting relationships. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from OU. Softball Camp McKenna Eubank SAC All-Conference At the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, we are proud of our student-athletes because we know that they work hard to be great both on the field and in the classroom and are often rewarded with national honors as a result! Our athletes and programs are top-notch — and so is our education. USAO is a special kind of university called a liberal arts school, which means that every student here learns a little about everything – history, science, math, art, music and other subjects. Our students and graduates are really happy to have learned this way when they get out into the real world because they are able to look at problems and solutions in a lot of different ways and are ready for any job that may come their way. Our beautiful campus is small and students really get personal attention. Join us for our USAO Softball Camp and experience life as a Drover for yourself!
