be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog and is limited to exhibitors who have not, at any
point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKe approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES RULES
The Puppy Sweepstakes is open toall Shetland Sheepdogs who, on the day of the show, will be six (6) months
and under eighteen (18) months of age. The entry fee will be $10.00 for each dog or bitch. Entries shall be
made at the same time and on the same entry form as for the Regular Classes, including in the space of
Additional Classes, the entry for Sweepstakes. All Dogs entered in SWeepstakes must also be entered in a
Regular Class at the regular fee. All prize money will be paid in the ring to the person handling the dog. No
AKC Champions of Record may be shown in the Sweepstakes. judging will be prior to the Judging of Regular
Classes.

Veteran Sweepstakes
Dogs entered may be spayed or neutered and have to be entered in a Regular Class. Veteran Sweepstakes
will be held immediately following Puppy Sweepstakes. Classes will be divided by sex and age on the day
of the show as follows:

AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Numbers may

Entry blank MUST be filled out with the necessary infonnation, otherwise the entry in Junior
Showmanship will not be accepted.
NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girts who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the
day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places with competition
present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For-Boys and Girts who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old
on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three FirstHaces, with competition
present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the
day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not V'KIn three First Places, with competition
present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day
of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present,
in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old
on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition
present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day
of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present,
in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show.
MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on
the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open Class with competition to be
eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be November 1 "October
31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria forthis dass are required to enterthe MasterClass
and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibilty time
frame forthat year has passed aU participants return to the Open Class to compete forthe following year.
Competition must exist for Best Junior Handler.

16N). Head North on Thompson Road (At. 635) to Carrier Circle. At GarrierCirde, take 4th exit onto At. 298
West. Tum left on Deere Road. We are the 4th building on the left.
From 1-81 Southbound: Take 1-81 South to NYS Thruway (1-90) East to Exit 35. At Carrier Circle, take 2nd
