Sarena and Flare are an active couple whose artistic endeavors
fill much of their free time and much of their space in their tiny
home. With only two bedrooms in the house, the 2nd bedroom is
serving triple duty as a hobby space, guest room, and an officeand it isn't working. Knowing they need more space to accommodate their ever growing creative ventures, guests and office
needs, this couple finds themselves at a crossroads. Serena is in
love with their first home and feels the energy within it could
never be duplicated, while Flare has had it with their cramped
main floor, shared creative space and no room to house their
family. Can Hilary reclaim the basement to rescue Flare’s heart?
Or will David coax this couple outside their neighborhood to a
home with the perfect combo of heart and function?

What can you do when
you absolutely hate your
kitchen, but you don't
have much money to
renovate? You get creative! With this house, we
started by taking off the
old, cracked laminate
countertop and replacing it with a beautiful
butcher's block. It is a material that
doesn't break the bank, is durable and
eco friendly. We also replaced the sink
and faucet- two more inexpensive changes because they didn't involve expensive
things such as changing around plumbing. This renovation was in a small room,
so we got creative with the countertop
placement to maximize counterspace.
Little changes to spaces can have a very
big impact on rooms, but not necessarily
your bank account.
