Joint Masters Course (EMMC) or Joint
Doctoral (EMJD)
• Consortia of a minimum of 3 EU partners:
additional partners may be from EU or third countries
• Coordinated by an eligible European HEI applicant
• Integrated study programme in all its aspects
• Include a mandatory mobility component in at
least 2 European countries
• Lead to the award of a fully recognised double,
multiple or joint degree

• Framework partnership agreement covering five consecutive
editions
• Financial support for:
– the management of the joint programme
(flat rate amount - EUR 30,000 for EMMCs, EUR 50,000
for EMJDs)

– Non-europeans

EU and third countries in a specific region
• Countries / regions covered by the EU’s external cooperation instruments
• Priorities depending on the third countries involved
• Scholarships of varying length (1 month to 3 years)
• Bachelor, master, doctorate and post-doctorate students
and HE staff (training, teaching, research activities)
• Mobility not linked to specific programmes
• Special attention paid to socio-economically disadvantaged
groups and populations in a vulnerable situation (Strand 1

• Administration: lumpsum 10 000 € per partner
• Travelcost (depending on distance): 250 – 2 500 €
• Insurance: 75€ per month
• Students (incl doctoral students)
- subsistence: 1 000 – 1 500€ per month
- Stipend to cover fees: 3 000€ per year
Fee waiver (exchange periods shorter than 10 months)
• Staff/teachers/ Post-doc:
- subsistence: 1 800 – 2 500 € per month
- Stipend to cover fees (Post doc): 0–5 000€ per year
