What can you do with a wife who wants a divorce one minute, then
loves you the next? Arlene cannot decide whether to stay with Paul,
her dumpy car salesman husband, or leave him for Mitchell, their
dentist, who has swept her off her feet. The two finally conspire to
murder Paul at the local Howard Johnson’s motel. This is the first of
several hilarious twists and turns as this clueless threesome leave
us wondering who hates who, who loves who, and who can really
pull off a murder. The show’s fast-paced comedy-suspense mayhem
will kill you with laughter.

A Glimpse of JapanIkebana Floral Art
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is more than
simply putting flowers in a container. It is a disciplined art form in
which the arrangement is a living thing where nature and humanity
are brought together. It is steeped in the philosophy of developing a
closeness with nature.
Travel with us to Northwest Unitarian Universalist Church in
Southfield to see A Glimpse of Japan. We will see demonstrations
of Ikebana Floral Art and we may even see a dressing of a
traditional Japanese bride.

Mexicantown is a place where vibrantly colored buildings, decorated
with even brighter murals and hand-painted signs, dot the main
thoroughfares of Bagley and Vernor Streets. One might guess there
are more restaurants per square foot than any other neighborhood
in Detroit -- but the smell of fresh tortillas and baked goods floating
down the street provide the only proof.
We will enjoy the Pre-Cinco de Mayo festivities while having lunch
at Los Galanes Restaurant, which includes entrée, drink and
dessert. After lunch we will shop at a few stores along the street that
include a bakery and a gift shop.

STRESS Management Tips for
SeniorsManaging stress healthfully can help you
de-stress and improve your overall wellbeing.
Try these 5 steps to less stress:
1. Take care of yourself; eat right and get
plenty of sleep.
2. Connect with others; meet up with
friends and club members and socialize.
3. Take a break from your worries; give
yourself a time out, enjoy a book, puzzle,
magazine or tv show.
4. Practice positive self-speak; ignore the
naysayer voice in your head and empower yourself with positive affirmations, “I
can rise to any challenge.”
5. Try relaxation techniques; yoga, tai
chi, meditation, deep breathing, prayer
and visualization are all great techniques.
