Gaoth Dobhair is one of the largest
Gaeltacht areas in the country. It is
situated by the sea in North-West
Donegal, 30 miles from Letterkenny.
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, the
local secondary school, is used by
Cumann an Phiarsaigh as the centre
for its varied programme. Facilities
at the Pobalscoil include a new sports
hall, a full-sized playing pitch, basketball
courts, a tennis court and an art room.

Cumann an Phiarsaigh provides courses in Irish language and culture for families.
The aim of the course is to improve spoken Irish by offering families the
opportunity of experiencing Irish as a living language in a Gaeltacht area.
The course is ideally suited for families interested in an activity based
holiday as Gaeilge and it caters for all adults and for children up
to Transition Year.
