The ruins of the medieval castle will be open soon for visitors. There is a fantastic panorama from the top of the tower. Distance to accommodation: 6.8 km, 15 min Transfer to the dam in Pilchowice (Zapora Pilchowicka), the impressive industrial monument, which this year celebrated its 100th anniversary. During the season the most enjoyable way to see the lake is the boat trip. You can ask about the captain at the cafe or call at: 696 922 525. It is an inexpensive trip (about 12 zloty per person) and unforgettable aesthetic impressions. It takes about an hour. Bóbr Valley Railway - "Bobertalbahn" leads from Jelenia Gora by Pilchowice, Wleń, Marczów to Lwówek Silesia. If we want to make your walk easier, you can use the cable car to take us to Kopa 1375m above sea level. Snieżka is located at an altitude of 1602 m above sea level. In good weather, visibility at the top can reach more than 200 km. To one of the most beautiful country around the Giant we can certainly include the "Valley of the Little Pond" (Dolina Małego Stawu) with a shelter Samotnia situated at an altitude of 1195 m. The route to Samotnia takes about 1.5 hours. It is worth visiting in order to feel the unique atmosphere of a quiet mountain hut. DZIEN TRZECI- CZAS NA ZAMKI One of the most interesting monuments in the area is the Castle Chojnik- fortress built in the fourteenth century by the Duke of the Piast line, as part of the fortification system of the Duchy borders. The castle is located at the top of a hill. The road passes through a nature reserve, which makes a very pleasant walk. Distance from accommodation: 32.5 km, 1 hr. LUB The Czocha Castle is located in the area of Lesna town by the Leśniańskie Lake. The easiest way to get to the castle is to drive towards Gryfów Slaski and then Lesna. The castle is especially interesting place for enthusiasts of World War II. There were number of films made in the location. Distance from accommodation: 46 km, 1 hr. LUB The Książ Castle is the third largest castle in Poland. Romantics can walk here in the beautiful terraces and hear stories about Daisy von Pless, beautiful and unhappy owner of the castle, whose husband gave six meters of a string of pearls as a wedding gift. There are number of different options for demanding visitors. Interesting and picturesque site, closed on Mondays. Distance from accommodation: 69.4 km, 1 hr. 21 min DZIEN CZWARTY- SPLYW KAJAKOWY Canoeing or kayaking on the river Bobr. The most popular section stretches between Nielestno - Wleń and Marczow, which is an unforgettable experience, and it takes about 5 hours. One can recognise the place by a a huge statue of Napoleon Bonaparte. In a dark and mysterious interior of the castle meet the local heroes of Silesian legend. These are life-size puppets such as sitting at the table and talking comrades of Mountains. They can be animated by pulling the strings. Distance from accommodation: 14.0 km, 26 minutes In the evening we suggest a trip to Lwówek Sląski, visiting the Market and a meal in a stylish pizzeria. Distance from accommodation: 18.4 km, 30 min DZIEN PIATY- SZKLARSKA POREBA A walk through the Mid and Lower Szklarska Poręba it may take about 3 hours. It a route of outstanding aesthetic values. During the trek you will be able to spot three interesting churches in the Upper and Lower Szklarska Poreba, visit the home of writers and brothers Gerhart and Carl Hauptmann, and House Vlastimil Hofman, an eminent painter of the Young Polish, who lived in Szklarska Poręba for the last 23 years of his life. The Lower Szklarska Poręba is the oldest part of the city. Distance from accommodation: 38.1 km, 56 min House of Gerhart Hauptmann was bbuilt in the late nineteenth century and it is devoted to the two brothers Gerhartowi Hauptmannowi (1862-1946) - German writer and playwright, Nobel Prize winner and Hauptmannowi Karl (1858-1921), who translated into German "Peasants" Reymont. There is also a gallery of paintings Vlastimil Hofman (1881-1970), a pupil of Jacek Malczewski and Jan Stanislawski. Szklarka waterfall is beautifully located in the Karkonowski National Park. We'll see a picturesque waterfall, and a guesthouse "Kochanówka". The walk takes around 3 hours. Kamieńczyk waterfall. It takes around 2 hours to get there (without resting). On the route you will be able to see the interesting rock formations (curves Tower, Raven Rocks) and the largest waterfall in the Sudety Mountains - Waterfall Kamieńczyk DZIEN SZOSTY- SPRAWDZAMY CO KRYJE SIE POD ZIEMIA The Owl Mountains are magical and full of secrets. During the Second World War Germans carved in there several underground complexes, which were probably used as another Hitler's armaments factory. Three of these dungeons have been made available to tourists all year round and make a genuine sensation. The Walim Factory is an object, which is a large, underground hall with a length of nearly one hundred meters and a height of ten. The stage of the works carried out here makes these buildings in the first place in terms of most finished project "Riese" (German Giant) in the Owl Mountains. Work began here in the mid1943. This led to a massive system of concrete corridors and halls of fortifications. Purpose of the work was kept secret. According to some, it was to be secret headquarters of Adolf Hitler. Distance from accommodation: 1.3 km, 1 hour 28 minutes LUB Włodarz is the largest known underground facility project Riese. The length of dark corridors is 3100m of which 1000m is flooded with water and available for visiting boats. A collection of military equipment is also on display there. An additional attraction of the area is Jedlince palace, where during the war housed the Todt organization, building the military fortifications. Distance from accommodation: 84.9 km, 1 hour 58 mins DZIEN SIODMY- JESZCZE TROCHE KULTURY The Park of Miniature Monuments of Lower Silesia. The last day is a moment when we can sum up the entire visit. If you have not managed to visit all the attractions of Lower Silesia than it is worth to visit the Miniature Park in Kowary, where in one place there are gathered more than 40 major monuments of the region! Open from 1 April to 30 September. The Park tour takes about an hour. Distance from accommodation: 35.1 km, 55 min At the end, go for a walk around the village Bystrzyca. You'll find traces of the historic splendor of the place. One of the most interesting buildings is the manor house from 1646, where Wernher von Braun grew up - scholar, one of the leading manufacturers of rockets and space exploration pioneer, cofounder of ballistic missile V-2. In the close proximity of the house you will find the church Our Lady of Lourdes, built in 1772. You should also cast your over on the old cemetery, where survived, mostly badly damaged gravestones and burial chapel von Zedlitz of 1782. Just behind the wall a 800-years yew tree grows, the second in terms of the age of the tree in Poland. As legend says, it has been planted by villagers, after the construction of the church, in honor of its founder, Princess Jadwiga (around 1217).
