Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy Dance Dress Code This dress code is a required element of Greenleaf's dance program. Please use the photos/links for reference on what color/style leotard to select. You may need to copy and paste full links into your browser to reach the correct page. Specific leotard colors have been selected to accommodate the Christmas Performance and to create class uniformity, which encourages precision and focus. In all leotards, chest must be fully covered and supported (dance or sports bra is generally recommended underneath for older students). Add knit shorts or skirt over tights in mixed classes and always before exiting the dance room into the lobby. In all classes -‐Hair must be pulled away from face. -‐No bare midriffs or low-‐cut tops (wear a leotard under t-‐shirts). -‐No jewelry except stud earrings. Skirts or shorts are required over leotards in the studio anytime students are outside of dance classroom. Ballet Pink tights should be worn with all leotards. Convertible Tights recommended for Contemporary/Performance Co. Pink ballet shoes. Split sole preferred in level II and above. Please check sizing when ordering online. Dance shoe sizing varies. Students’ initial Pointe shoe fitting should be done at a local store with dance teacher guidance. Hair for all ballet style classes must be in a ballet bun. (Street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor). Shoes: Jazz/Perf.
