Sandals Resorts is now thrilled to offer you a $500 Wedding Credit**, $500 in Bonus Credit plus a $500 Amoro for Sandals

*The $1,500 WeddingMoons® Credit promotion is applicable only for new WeddingMoons® of 6 paid nights or longer in all room categories booked between
September 1, 2014 until further notice for travel September 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016 (no blackout dates). **For the $500 Wedding Credit, eligible

St. Lucia Wedding Documentation & Requirements
In order to be legally married in St. Lucia, there is documentation required as well as government requirements in
their country. Please read over these items carefully and advise us of any questions you may have.

















Residency requirement of 72 hours, which must include three (3) business days (day of arrival, weekends and holidays
not included) Example: Friday arrivals can be married on the following Thursday. Monday arrivals can be married on
Friday.
Original State/County issued birth certificate (typed versions – can be obtained via local registry office) OR passport.
All pages of all court certified final divorce decrees (if applicable). Divorce Decrees MUST have the following written:
“Decree Absolute”, “Final Decree”, “Final Judgment”, or “Dissolution of Marriage”, with visible court stamp/seal
State/County issued death certificates with related marriage certificates (if applicable)
Legal name change or legal adoption documents (if applicable)
A legal translator must translate all documents in a foreign language to English. Both notarized/certified versions must be
submitted.
All Documents for both bride & groom must be submitted with a completed Wedding Information Form
Please mail or fax photocopies (not originals) of the required documents for both the bride and groom at least 60 DAYS
prior to the arrival date.
Couples must hand carry all original state issued and/or court certified documents with raised/embossed seals & stamps.
All required documents are due 60 days prior to travel for ALL islands.
A late fee of US$150 will apply for all documents received at 21 days or less prior to the arrival date
EXPRESS WED: 48 hrs. /1 business day. Fee of $150 due at time of booking
Wedding and ReTie the Knot dates and times vary and are subject to public holidays and availability.
Couples will only be married at the resort in which they are booked.
Additional fees apply for Catholic weddings. We are unable to provide a Rabbi to perform Jewish Weddings.
Setup/surcharges for additional guests above two apply and may vary by resort. Couples must notify the Wedding

ReTie the Knot Documentation & Requirements

Selected country’s residency period applies. Couples must fax a copy of the state issued marriage certificate to the
Wedding Department at +1 (305) 668-2762 (Miami Document Department) and hand carry the original to the resort.
Day Passes are intended for genuine guests and not third party providers of services. Use of third party vendors for
photography or other services that are offered by Sandals is strictly prohibited.
Passport Update: Effective January 23, 2007, the US Department of State and Homeland Security requires all travelers to and
from the Americas, Caribbean, and Bermuda to have a Valid Passport. Non-US Citizens should contact the airline regarding the
specific entry requirements that apply to their nationality.

Sandals & Beaches Resorts have a list of local wedding photographers throughout the Caribbean approved to photograph weddings at our resorts.

Each Wedding Photography Partner offers a different style, from Journalistic to Artistic, Contemporary and Traditional – after all, it’s You Wedding.
Your Style. Your wedding photography session will include four (4) consecutive hours, and if you’d like more time, you can purchase additional
hours.

By choosing a Wedding Photography Partner, you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with your photographer before you arrive at
the resort, and establish a relationship before your big day!

This is a modern form of a wedding video
with little audio. Only key audio is being
used as well as key background noise. The
video is edited according to the music that
was selected by the bride and groom. It is
edited along the lines of a “music video”

All private functions may be held in select areas at the resort. In the case of inclement weather, functions will be moved to an
indoor location. All private functions must be booked and paid for at least 60 days prior to the wedding date to ensure availability.
Guaranteed guest count for your wedding is due 72- hours prior to the event and refunds are not issued on no-shows or
cancellations. All prices are in US Dollars and are subject to change without notice. Day pass is required for all non-resort guests
attending weddings and receptions. Day Pass is only waived when attending the Ceremony and purchasing the Exquisite Wedding

What are the wedding sites on property?
Most of our resorts offer a beach, a garden and a gazebo location. The location is chosen at the time of your on-resort
consultation. Visit our website www.sandals.co.uk/weddingmoons to view samples of our wedding locations.
What flavours are available for the wedding cake?
You have a choice of vanilla, chocolate, Caribbean fruit or Red Velvet.
When will I receive my marriage certificate?
You will receive 1 copy to take back. For additional copies, please contact your Wedding Planner for additional information. For
European and non-UK guests, this process may take additional time in order for further legalisation processes to be made via the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress?
Any arrangement for transportation of a wedding dress should be discussed directly with your airline carrier.
Is there Tuxedo rental available in the island?
Unfortunately, we do not offer tuxedo rentals on resort; however some resorts have contact information for local formalwear
providers (varies by island). Keep in mind, due to the Caribbean climates, you may want to consider a light weight alternative for
the groom.
Can I hire local vendors such as photographers, caterers and décor providers for my wedding?
The use of third party vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Sandals is strictly prohibited.
Who will assist me with my wedding once I arrive?
The Resort Wedding Team will be anxious to meet you and will be instrumental in making your dream day a reality.
When do I finalise my wedding details?
Details should be finalised 45 days prior to arrival; your Wedding Planner will guide you through this process.
Is my wedding legal in the country where I reside?
Yes, the marriage is a legally binding marriage. You should inquire with your local government regarding name change
procedures, etc. . For Europeans and guests outside of the UK, further legalisation may be required for the marriage certificate in
order for it to be legally recognised by your country. This must be requested via the wedding team, and Sandals & Beaches will
absorb the cost of this for the first marriage certificate (i.e. apostille/legalisation of marriage certificate only). Non UK couples
should check full requirements (additional documentation and processes) for legalisation prior to travel via their Town Hall
Registry and Embassy.
Can I get married at a different resort than where I am staying?
No, you must get married at the resort where you are staying.
Is there a fee for the use of a personal wedding planner?
No, at Sandals Resorts, every bride and groom have their own personal pre-wedding and resort wedding planners as part of the
complimentary WeddingMoon® inclusions.
What are the different types of ceremonies I can choose from for my wedding?
A non-denominational marriage officiant customarily presides over our ceremonies, but if you wish to inquire about having a nonreligious ceremony or a religious ceremony, please talk to your wedding planner.
Are there any special inclusions for weddings with a group of rooms?
Sandals offer a number of exclusive inclusions for Wedding parties that have 5 rooms or more. Please contact our Groups
department at +44 (0) 207 590-0228 (UK) to get more information.
Can I bring down my own wedding décor items and favours?
We would not recommend this as there are custom laws that will require you to pay taxes and duties on these items or they might
be confiscated if they are deemed as commercial items. If you decide to take items down with you please note that there is an
applicable set up fee. Please speak with your wedding planner for full details.
Are medical/or blood test required to get married?
No, the island of Saint Lucia does not require a medical or blood test to be performed.
