Vanity is the debut album from Sydney band Caulfield.
Since the release of their EP Clarity In The Sea Of Confusion in 2010, the band have gained a loyal following at
home and overseas. Caulfield are no strangers when it comes to hitting the road, winning fans across Australia
many times over with their intense and energised live performances. They have been selected to support
established artists such as Parkway Drive, Silverstein, Demon Hunter, Vanna, Attila, Confession, Buried In Verona,

Son of dave invites y’all to a rhythm ’n’ blues party at The Grand Hotel. On his new record Blues At The Grand,
his a-list friends have already joined the party. Producer Jimmy Hogarth is mixing cocktails, drummer Joey
Waronker is in the ballroom and comedian Jessica Hynes is flirting with the bellboy. For the first time with Son
of Dave it’s a full-band record and, as the bluesman is happy to admit, it is his most joyous to date. Blues At The
Grand is released on November 1.
Son of Dave says that people often ask him, “What kind of bluesman comes from Winnipeg in Canada, but has
lived in London for more than 15 years? What kind of bluesman doesn’t abandon his illegitimate children to go
adventuring?” You might also ask, “What kind of bluesman has a YouTube channel, on which he posts covers of
improbable songs like ‘Bonkers’ by Dizzee Rascal and anarchically reviews the latest singles by Beyoncé, Stooshe
and Kendrick Lamar?”
Son of Dave – Benjamin Darvill – will decide what this bluesman will do and for his fifth album, Blues At
The Grand, he enlisted the help of super producer Jimmy Hogarth – a rhythm and blues fan with writing and
production credits on countless monster-smashes by the likes of Amy Winehouse, James Morrison and Corrine
Bailey Rae.
Son of Dave has also gone deep into Karmic debt with his musician friends, who have stepped up and played
incredible parts on this record. Henry Olsen (Screamadelica) on bass. On lady vocals, Martina Topley Bird,
Josephine Oniyama, Jessica Hynes, Naomi Yhap. On keys, Will Foster (Fratellis), horns by Martin Slatterly and

“R30” was filmed on ruSh’s 30th Anniversary tour in 2004 on September 24 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt. The
R30 concerts showcased the band’s entire career with tracks from the early seventies onwards. The show was
originally released on DVD worldwide in 2005 and then on Blu-ray in North America only in 2009. Eight tracks
were cut from the show for the DVD release. These were then added back in for the North American Blu-ray
release but this contained no bonus features. Now for the first time we are releasing a Blu-ray version which
contains the full show and over 2 hours of bonus material that originally featured on a second disc in the DVD set
to give the most complete version of R30 possible.

Hailing from Santa Rosa, CA, State faultS is an emerging rock act that has exploded within California’s
burgeoning underground music scene over the last few years. The band’s unique blend of intense post-hardcore
and sweeping post-rock soundscapes create a surreal depth to their dynamic sound and a powerful experience

On the band’s follow up to their heralded 2012 debut, Desolate Peaks, State Faults continue to expand the breadth
of their sound with blissful atmospheric guitars and rhythm that turn on a dime into an blitzkrieg of torrential,
angular riffs and vocalist Jonny Andrew’s snarling vocals, a balance of melodic and heavy that the band has
seemingly perfected with Resonate/Desperate.
“We tried overall to write a more aggressive album, an album bursting with raw energy that still retains the
melody, ambience, and introspective nature of our past work, but without letting the influence of post-rock wash
over every song,” says Andrew.
Resonate/Desperate features eleven tracks that soar through peaks and valleys of beautiful chaos like with their
newly released track “Meteor.”
In writing ‘Meteor’, we really tried to capture the intensity and aggressive nature of a panic attack. The new
album is definitely the most personal yet, it explores some of the darkest and most vulnerable aspects of myself,
and the fear and self-loathing caused by anxiety.

Formed in the late 80’s, CarCaSS featured ex-Napalm Death guitarist Bill Steer and ex-Electro Hippies vocalist
Jeff Walker.
The band became famous as a ‘gore’ band - using extreme images on album sleeve and in lyrics, often with
a medical dictionary providing inspiration, before later successfully moving towards melodic death metal,
particularly on Swansong.
The band toured the world with great success and eventually signed a major label deal with Columbia Records in
the mid 90’s.
Having split after the release of the final album ‘Swansong’, Jeff Walker continued with Blackstar and Brujeria.
Bill Steer formed Firebird, and Mike Amott found success with Spiritual Beggars and Arch Enemy.

Flint, Michigan’s highly revered punk rock band the SWellerS has announced they will release their fourth
studio album, The Light Under Closed Doors.
Produced by The Swellers and recorded by Marc Hudson (Saves the Day, Taking Back Sunday) at Rancho Recordo
in Fenton, MI and with Mark Michalik (Into It. Over It., Fireworks) in Chicago, IL, The Light Under Closed Doors is
a raw collection of ten punk rock sing-alongs that are filled with driving rhythm and infectious choruses. The
band’s follow-up to 2012’s EP, Running Out Of Places To Go, strips the band down to their core with a sound that’s
pure and honest.
“This record feels a lot different than anything we’ve done,” says drummer Jonathan Diener. “The way the songs
were written, the way it was recorded, even the artwork all have this organic feeling about them. We went back to
basics and let the songs and emotion do the talking for us.”
“The feeling of writing and recording our EP was incredible, so we wanted to do something similar for this
record,” adds vocalist/guitarist Nick Diener. “You can nod your head through the whole thing. Marc Hudson did an
amazing job capturing what I feel is the first record that sounds like us in a live setting. Very real. This is a great
record to introduce ourselves to any new music fan who might have missed us, and a great reintroduction to
anyone aware of The Swellers. I think our fans have grown with us, which is a really cool thing.”
After a few frustrating years of label changes, which led to the release of their DIY EP Running Out Of Places To
Go, The Swellers return reinvigorated on their No Sleep Records debut, which is packed with highly memorable
tracks like “Should,” “Becoming Self-Aware,” “High/Low” and “Big Hearts,” that speak directly to fans with an
open heart about growing up, learning from your mistakes and moving forward, something the band has a lot of
experience with lately.
“I think lyrically this may be our most relatable record,” says Jonathan. “It’s about readjusting and finding your
place in the world. It’s one hell of an awkward adventure we all go through.”
