aroque Rome, the City of Bernini, Borromini and Pietro
da Cortona, admired daily by the tourists who stroll through
its streets and piazzas, finally has a hotel that brings back
to life, with a refined touch, the design lines and decor
typical of the patrician villas of the venerable noble families
of Rome at the end of the 1600’s, reviving all the sumptuous
luxury and wealth of the Roman Baroque.

del mondo. Dopo una sapiente ristrutturazione, l’antico palazzo fine
Ottocento, ad un passo da Via Veneto, è oggi un albergo di lusso:

minimalismo di decori e misure dei nuovi alberghi.
Una consuetudine dei suoi ospiti lo ha ribattezzato semplicemente

uxuriant and regal, located in the noble heart of a City which was
and is once again an intersection of cultures and communication.
After more than one year of skilled re-structuring, the historic late
19th century palace, just a short walk from the famed Via Veneto,
is today a luxury five stars hotel: the style is rich and opulent,
in distinct contrast with the typical present-day minimalism governing
most new hotels’ interior decor and design.
The guests’ customary praise led to the name of Splendide, a fondly
used title that expresses the familiarity and trust placed in a warm,
friendly hotel.

ui il Barocco romano prende nuova vita.
Alle pareti, le boiseries esaltano i toni caldi dei broccati, la ricchezza
dorata degli stucchi e negli specchi del Giardino d’Inverno si riflette
la morbida luce naturale che traspare dalla volta.
Il lampadario di Murano scelto da Luchino Visconti per la scena
del ballo nel suo capolavoro “Il Gattopardo”, illumina con una pioggia
di luce la hall, dove i marmi policromi del pavimento si intersecano
in geometrie ricercate.

ere, the lush and rich sumptuousness of the Roman Baroque
comes to life again.
On the walls, golden boiseries enhance the warm tones of brocades
while the Winter Garden’s sparkling stucco and lush mirrors reflect the
soft and natural rays of light beaming in through the vault from above.
The Murano glass chandelier which Luchino Visconti chose for the ballroom scene in his masterpiece film “The Leopard”, now lights up the
hotel’s hall amidst the marble floors’ geometric designs.

lu pervinca, giallo oro, rosso cardinale. Un’atmosfera avvolgente,
lo sguardo che si perde sull’incantevole panorama. Le 52 camere
e le 17 suites hanno mantenuto le grandi dimensioni del passato
riproponendo i sontuosi decori e le nuances che caratterizzavano
i palazzi seicenteschi dell’aristocrazia romana. .
Gli stucchi, le boiseries, i tendaggi damascati, oltre ai bei mobili
d’antiquariato e ai dipinti: tutto contribuisce a dare agli ambienti
un fascino d’altri tempi.

ervinca blue, golden yellow and cardinal red: a cosy atmosphere
from which the guest’s gaze can lose itself in an enchanting
panorama. The 52 rooms and 17 suites are designed in line with
reviving the exquisite decor and nuances once only to the noble
palaces of 17th century Roman aristocracy.
The stuccoing, the boiserie panelling and the damask curtains,
together with the striking antique furniture and paintings, all give
the rooms a glamour reminiscent of bygone eras.

ens sana in corpore sano. I bagni in marmo sono importanti,
con ampie finestre, corredati spesso da grandi vasche per idromassaggi
con vista sull’ineguagliabile panorama. Un luogo incantevole per
rilassarsi, per meditare e forse, come nella Roma antica, per prendere
importanti decisioni.
Si racconta che, a uno straniero che gli chiedeva perché prendesse
il bagno una volta al giorno, un imperatore romano abbia risposto
“Perché non ho tempo per farlo due volte…”

healthy mind in a healthy body. Marble bathrooms are luxurious,
with precious natural light source, often equipped with spacious
whirlpool tubs overlooking the unique Roman skyline. Not just a place
to bathe, but also a place of relaxation, meditation and sometimes,
as in Ancient Rome, a place where very important decisions would
be made.
When asked by a foreigner why he bathed once a day, a Roman
emperor is said to have replied "Because I do not have the time
to bathe twice a day ..."

La Suite Villa Borghese, al quinto piano, è circondata da una terrazza
di 65 metri quadrati, vero giardino pensile su cui si aprono
5 porte-finestre.

to their spectacular furnished terraces. The Presidential Suite,
found on the hotel’s uppermost floor, comes with one, two

a full-fledged hanging garden that can be entered through
