including physical health maintenance, daily warm-ups, audition
combination technique and intensives in ballet, modern, tap, lyric,
partnering and jazz. The actors will also have the opportunity to
see the national touring production of Shrek the Musical at the

School of Rock-Vista and Camp Jaycee have joined forces to bring
this exciting week-long Classic Rock Performance Camp with a
great desire to perform with other musicians in a classic rock
band. This camp is built on the philosophy that the best way to
learn to play music is by actually playing it. Campers will spend a
full week working in a hands-on atmosphere learning performance
techniques and the art of being in a rock band. Workshops will
include: group lessons on an instrument of their choice (guitar,
bass, drums, keyboards, brass or vocals), music theory, rehearsal
techniques, performance practice and group band rehearsals.
Campers will also spend time learning the care and maintenance
of their instrument, as well as develop an understanding of how a
soundboard works. All of will lead to campers performing in a real
all-ages rock show for friends and family on the last day of the
program. Pre-requisite: Must have intermediate to advanced
experience with their musical instruments.

LIT Leadership-in-Training (LIT) Grade 11
Two 4-week sessions: Session 1: June 20–July 15 • Session 2: July 18–August 12
(LIT) Leadership-in-Training is geared toward those who want to
become a camp counselor and are interested in becoming better
leaders. Campers enter the program as individuals; and then
by working together, the group becomes a cohesive team,
learning cooperation, problem solving, developing skills in
leadership and teamwork. They will be hands-on with younger
campers, and work closely with counselors within a supervised
program. Participants will build their own resumes with real life
experiences and gain first-hand knowledge working with
children, earn community service hours, and help make a
difference for themselves and other campers. They will also
receive CPR and First Aid training. Must commit to at least one
full 4-week session. An LIT application must be submitted along
with a letter of recommendation, then each applicant will have
a personal interview with the Camp Directors. Call to set up your
