WINTER FUN
Winter Fun is the Sabes JCC School’s Out offering for Winter Break 2010 for children in grades K–6.
Winter Fun opens every day at 7:30 am with programming beginning at 9 am. Closing times vary and can be
found below each program.
Please remember to bring a dairy lunch, swimsuit & towel, gym shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.
Children should be dropped off and picked up in M54, the HaBonim room.
Thursday, December 23 – Bowling at TexaTonka Lanes
7:30 am–6 pm
Start our your Winter Break throwing strikes! Join your friends as we head to TexaTonka Lanes to test our skills
at the bowling alley.
Friday, December 24 – Winter Treat at the JCC—Holiday Programming
7:30 am–5pm
Spend the day at the JCC with your schools out friends making a tasty treat with a winter season theme. After
tasting their own creations, children will participate in games and arts and crafts projects.
Monday, December 27 – Exploring the Science Museum
7:30 am–6pm
Spend the morning at the Science Museum of Minnesota, checking out the great exhibits they have to offer. Everyone will get a chance to see the mummy, run an experiment in the cell lab, and climb the musical stairs
Tuesday, December 28 – Minnesota Book Arts
7:30 am–6 pm
Be sure to bring your imagination today as Minnesota Book Arts will teach us how to make Tunnel Books. Each
child will get a chance to make their own book based on the theme of winter. You won’t want to miss this!
Wednesday, December 29 – Snow Tubing at Eko Backen
7:30 am–6 pm
Come dressed and ready for a day on the amazing hills of Eko Backen—a snow tubing paradise for all ages.
They have a hill for every age and experience so come ready to spend the day enjoying one of our favorite
Minnesota Winter pastimes!
Thursday, December 30 – Outdoor Snow Shelter Building with Three Rivers Park District
7:30 am–6 pm
Enjoy another day of outdoor winter fun with Three River Park District as they teach us about using the snow
around us to stave off hypothermia and survive the winter. We will work as a team to build an Athabaskan
quinzee.
Friday, December 31 – Relax in the JCC Theatre with a showing of Toy Story 3—Holiday Programming
7:30 am–5 pm
After a busy week, spend the last day of the year with us watching one of the year’s best movies on the big
screen in the JCC theatre. We will have a special snack to enjoy during the movie’s intermission.

parent signature and payment received in full.
Registration Deadline: December 10
Any registrations received after above registration
deadline are subject to availability and $10 late fee. Once
registration and payment in full is received, we will send
you a confirmation letter with dates, emergency contact
information sheet, as well as necessary waivers to be
signed and any other pertinent information.
There are no refunds for School’s Out cancellations.

Kids will have the chance to go to the Sabes JCC gym and pool; watch a movie; play board games
and puzzles; and hang out with their friends.
