Youth Month was CU STRONG!
April was National Credit Union Youth Month and Augusta
Metro celebrated it by encouraging its young members to save with
its CU Strong Savings Challenge. Winners of the Savings Challenge
were sisters, Mary Grace and MaKenzie, for having made the most
deposits to their accounts during April.
Teen and youth members were also
invited to participate in Augusta
Metro’s Game-Pizza-Movie Palooza.
They played financial-themed
games where they learned to
spend, earn and save “money,” and
could buy prizes at the end. The
games were followed by pizza and
the movie, Big Hero 6.

CMN Ticket Raffle
Relay for Life Results
During April and May, Augusta Metro
sold raffle tickets to raise money for the
Children’s Miracle Network. With the
help of our members, we were able to
raise $2,084.00 to benefit the Children’s
Hospital of Georgia in our community.
Thanks to our employees and members,
and congratulations to the raffle winner,
Mark Waller, and to our employee, Lisa
Battle, for selling the most raffle tickets!
Augusta’s Relay for Life event was April 23rd and
between a bake sale, employee jeans days, Relay for
Life t-shirt sales, online donations and our Car
Smash at the Relay event, Augusta Metro raised a
total of $3,538.05 – a record for us!– to donate to
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life! Thank
you to our members for participating and donating,
and to our employees for their dedication and hard
work! Also THANK YOU to Evans Tire & Auto for
their generosity and for donating a car to the cause.
