Quick and Simple Recipe
This Month at the Nagashima Resort ナガシマリゾート
The following recipe is from “J-Simple Recipes” (www.j-simplerecipes.com), an all-English website created by the Imai Family
from Ichinomiya City, Aichi. The site has photo-aided step-by-step instructions of how to easily prepare simple Japanese
recipes, as well as information on meal types, foodstuffs, and table manners.
2012 is the Year of the Dragon and there's no better way to kick off your 2012 with a ride on the Steel Dragon 2000 - the World's longest
roller coaster at Nagashima Spaland one of the country’s largest amusement parks. The nearby Nabananosato theme park also offers a
romantic location to celebrate the holidays, and if you're still searching for that illusive Christmas gift you can drop in to the nation's
largest outlet mall.

famous overseas luxury brands and selected popular domestic stores at cheaper
prices than you'll normally find.

This “tradition” can be traced by to the moment in 1971 when a group of
home-sick foreign residents wandered in to a branch of KFC after deciding
that fried chicken was the next-best alternative to turkey. The branch
manager picked up on it as a sales idea and in 1974 KFC ran their first
nationwide Christmas campaign. From there it grew and the run-up to
Christmas now counts for a fifth of KFC's annual sales.
In 2011 turkey is still hard (but not impossible) to get hold of. Even then,
most fridges and ovens in Japanese homes are not big enough to cope with
roasting a bird and storing the inevitable leftovers. So why not try making
your own fried chicken this holiday season?
