Happy New Year Chesaning!! New Year - new changes. My name is Bobbi
Bates, part owner of Studio 124, and I will be your 2015 Chamber President. I
have worked for 30 years in Chesaning. Beginning my career at ‘the O’Hare’
House in 1984, working for Pat O’Hare. In 1995 Pat decided he wanted to semiretire, so his daughter and I acquired the O’Hare House and changed the name to
Studio 124. I will forever be in debt to this man for giving me the opportunity to be
a business owner in this wonderful little town we call Chesaning.
As far as being Chamber President, I have some HUGE shoes to fill. Randy
Stoddard has led this community for the past 4 years as Chamber President, going
well above and beyond his duties. I know he is a great leader and inspiration to us
all. I hope I have learned enough form him to do this job well. (Of course I do know
his number). Thank you so much Randy for your faith and commitment to this
community.
I would like to announce the new 2015 Chamber Board: Vice-President, Greg

Chesaning a better place to live, play and visit. Our team……YOUR team, is committed to this community. We are there for you and your business’ needs. We will
do the best we can to support our mission statement “To actively foster business
growth, member services and a united community”.
In closing the 2015 Chamber Board would like to thank you for giving us the
opportunity and the privilege to serve you. If the Annual Dinner has any reflection
on the rest of 2015, we are in for a good year. Attendance to the dinner was up by
30%. Thank you for coming out to support Chesaning. Many well deserved awards
went out this year. Shannon Morse is Star employee of the year, from Sovis Insurance agency. Neil Pullman, Volunteer of the Year. Dr. Teal, Distinguished Business Person of theYear. There were over 24 longevity awards from 5 to 95 years
in business in our town. That shows you the change that is happening in
Chesaning and the ones that are in it for the long haul. We are Chesaning, we are
memory makers and we are moving forward.

What the Chamber is working on for you…
The Annual Dinner was held on Saturday, January 17th at McFarlan’s Gathering
Place. Our attendance was up this year, hope to see many more faces next year!!
Tom & Tanya McFarlan were the lucky bidders on the fireplace mantel donated by
Neil Pullman for auction at the dinner and have placed in their pub. Stop by and
check it out!! Look out for many new and familiar events this year! There will be a
Millionaire’s Club (new this year) at the Owosso Poker Room this weekend from 22nd25th, the Valentine’s Wine & Beer event will be returning on February 13th at the Peet
Center, also something new for March (14th) is a Scrapbook Crop at the Riverfront
Grille, bring your supplies or purchase them on site, and spend the day making memories with friends! Wednesday, July 1st will be the new date for our amazing fireworks!!
Chesaning Chamber’s River Days will once again be held in July (10th -12th), look for
lots of new activities to enjoy with family and friends!! The Appreciation Picnic is
scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th. The Chamber hopes to see all of you soon!
