Mountain cruise on Møsvatn deep into Hardangervidda
A sunny summer’s day on board M/B Fjellvåken on Lake Møsvatn, 919 metres above sea
level, is an unforgettable experience.
Mountain cruise to Mogen
Join the catamaran M/B Fjellvåken II on a day trip from
Skinnarbu to Mogen and experience the breathtaking nature,
the farms around lake Møsvatn and the tasteful food at Mogen
Turisthytte (Tourist Cabin).
The boat runs scheduled trips between Skinnarbu and Mogen in
the summer season. Mogen Turisthytte (tourist cabin) is ”a
popular gateway for hiking trips into the Hardangervidda
National Park”.
Charter the boat
Your options include a day trip from Skinnarbu up to Mogen
Turisthytte, or a three-hour guided round trip from Skinnarbu to the
island of Hovden with its beautiful church. You can also charter the
entire boat with its crew – something to think about for your next
birthday celebration or for that special moment.

Sherpas
in Rauland!
Last autumn Rauland had Sherpas from Nepal visiting. They were
here to lay stones on our much used hiking paths.
Falkenuten / Falkeriset is the most popular hiking path in Rauland.
With the help of Sherpas from Nepal the path is now stone set
and ready for the upcoming summer!
The entire path is scheduled to be completed during the summer
of 2012.

recreational area
in Holtardalen!
A new summer swimming pond is being planned
in Holtardalen, Rauland. Here you will find a
playground and great swimming conditions during
the summer.
In Rauland you find one of Norway’s leading horse
riding centres and we can offer a wonderful
experience to children, adults, families and groups.
Our stables, which house around 30 well trained
horses adjoin a riding hall of 60 by 40 m. We have
an outdoor arena and breathtaking scenery.
